Hey when I try to load this save it says it was made with a newer version of the game, any idea what I can do to fix this?

You can try going to program Files (86)/Origin Games/Dragon Age Inquisition/Update/Patch and open the package.mft with notepad, and change the version to 98 or 99 and see if that works. Usually that seems to fix the issue.

I do not do any of the DLC quests. Descent and Jaws of Hakkon can be done at any point after reaching Skyhold. When I play for myself, I usually just wait until I'm a higher level, so that they're not too difficult. All of these characters are level 23 by the time I finish all of the side quests, so you could start the DLCs at any point. You do have to finish the entire main story before you can start Trespasser. I hope you enjoy the DLCs, I really love them!

    Hi there.
Firstly tanks for the mod, I can't imagine the time you put into these. :)
The sad part is that I can't get it to load at Skyhold, not with mods in anyway. I removed all mods and made a save in another location, re-installed my mods and it loaded fine, but I can't go to Skyhold. All I get is the loading screen. It doesn't look like anyone else had this problem so I thought I'd ask.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love to give all the relationships a go, but don't have the time for a full play-through on each.
    Thank you. :)

Have you tried the other HF rogue save I've got up here? Maybe see if that one works when this didn't? If it doesn't, then I might need to delete the files that are on here and upload the files again, tho' I'm not sure if that would be any different. Hmm. Did you prefer the save that is allied with the mages?

Thanks for replying. :) Um no it doesn't have to be one sided with the mages, I think I can make the Templar one work too. I will try the other HF save and see if it works. I don't have 'No more fog of war', maybe I should install it too. Ideally I wanted a warrior HF, but it's not a deal breaker. haha

I have a HF warrior uploaded too: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/2433
Let me know if you're still having problems. Not sure how I can make it work, but I'd like to try to get file for you that works.

Awww, thank you so much you're very kind for trying so hard to help me. :)
The other HF rogue that you told me to try also got stuck on the loading screen for Skyhold. I'll download the warrior and give her a go though I think it must be one of my mods that's causing this seeing as the first one I tried worked fine when I took all my mods out. I might have to take them all out again and re-introduce them 1 mod at a time to try and find the culprit though that's a long painful process. haha

Just wanted to let you know I finally got the save working. I sorted my mods and then using mod manager and frosty together did the trick. Also I had a Zevran dalish scout armour mod that definitely caused problems with loading into skyhold. Can't wait to get some serious playtime after all that. :)
One other strange request. haha Is it possible to tell us what personalities your inquisitors had? The choices you made in the game so far will have a big effect on whether she's angry, funny, empathetic or sarcastic with others.
      Thanks again! :D

For these saves, my inquisitors are friendly to their companions, but are occasionally snarky to other NPCs in the game. All conversations with Alexius and with that noble in Champions of the Just are smart-assed. But those guys are askin' for it anyway. :D That makes it so you can be friends with everyone, all romance paths are open, but you can start being mean to the companions you don't like, if you want to. It was the best way for me to make these usable to everyone, no matter how they play it. I flirt with everyone in Haven, and I never carry Bull and Dorian together, so all romance paths are available. That's also why I don't talk to anyone when I get to Skyhold.

If I'm playing myself, my inquisitors tend to be snarky a lot more often, even tho' I still keep my companion relationships positive. But I didn't want to make too many decisions for people when I made these; I wanted to leave as many choices up to you as possible. I hope this answers your question! If it doesn't, or if you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask! You can always send me a PM if you like. :)

I am so very glad that you got things working, I always hate it when I can't help someone when they're having problems. Thanks for using my saves!

Oh wow, snarky is perfect for me! :D Smart-assed is the only way to go with Alexius and I also like having a friendly relationship with most my followers, they are laying their lives on the line by your side after all. Haha
Thanks so much for the information, it'll help a great deal while I'm trying to bond with my new inquisitor. Also once again thanks for the help and mod.
      Take care. :)

Thank you for the Save Game. You definitely play it much better than I. I especially like that you left all the skill points uncommitted. I see that you play as archer. I've not done that but will have to try it out.

I'm rubbish at gaming, I just like to play for the story as Human Female. I find the Wicked Eyes and Wicked Heart quest tedious. I'm looking for a Save Game that takes me past that quest.

I like playing ranged more than I do melee. To be honest, I have yet to play a dual dagger rogue in this game. I loved it in DAO and DA2, so I'm not sure why I haven't done it in DAI. Guess I need to try that out myself. If you want to try out as an archer for a bit, there's 10 tactician's renewal amulets in the storage chest. There's also a bunch of amulets of power, if you just wanted to add a couple of archer skills to your build without sacrificing your dual dagger skills.

I'm not great at gaming, I've just played DAI a lot. I like playing the side quests more than the main quests, at this point. I've pretty much played through my head canon, as well as making all the different choices. I've done all the romances numerous times. But I still love playing the game.

I can take a character past Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts for you, if you like, but I'd have some questions first. Mind if I send you a pm?

Thank you for the mod, it's amazing! I play as Caiah who sided with the mages. :)

This is just my opinion, but I wish there was more save game "places" you could choose from. I am not a big fan of Cole, Sera or Vivienne and would prefer not to have them in my playthrough at all.

Otherwise, it's really an amazing mod, thanks for making it!! :)

How do you even make it so all side quests are done and you have all schematics and such? :)

Heh. I have a lot of time on my hands. And I absolutely love playing DAI. I've been playing it pretty consistently since I got it in the end of 2016.

I save my games at various points for each character. I save in Val Royeaux, right after the whole seen with Mother Hevara and the templars. I also have gone all around the marketplace and read all of the codex entries, and have purchased all of the different accessories from the Ardent Blossom mod. Also have already talked to Fiona. I usually pick up Sera and Viv right after that, though. The next save I keep is after I've finished the Hinterlands and the Storm Coast, before I choose the mages or the templars. After that, I save first thing at SKyhold. That's the last save I keep until I've finished out the side quests and all.

Now, Caiah being the first time I tried this, I don't think I have the save in Frostback Mtns from right before she chose the mages or the templars. I do have the save in Val Royeaux. And I do have both Caiah's first arrivals in Skyhold.

Message me if you'd like one of those uploaded. Thanks for playing!

So you play through all the side quests manually? Without mods or cheats? Andraste's tits, that's amazing! Now I feel super lazy haha.

So you basically use the Ardent Blossom misc store for all schematics, crafting materials etc? That's so cool.

Thank you so much for this mod! I think maybe I can live with having Vivienne in my mod, since reversing her recruitment and Sera + Cole's would take too much time and work.

      Thank you again!

Oh, no, the schematics I collected over a number of playthroughs. I use Ardent Blossom to get the unique accessories. I also use it for the stuff that you need to make specializations, but that's just laziness on my part.

I do play through all of the side quests, but I do use a few mods to help me out too. I use the New Game Plus to get a lot of money in the beginning of the game, as well as a bunch of herbs and some "trade pacts" for war table power. I also use Craftorama for all of my top tier materials. Both of those make for an easier and faster playthrough for me. I also use the Unlock Masterwork Crafting in Haven to be able to go ahead and put runes on all the weapons. So I do kind of cheat. But I do put the time in to playing all the side quests.

I really enjoy playing through it all. I like the combat and the collectibles and listening to companion banter. And I like that my time is going towards making game saves that other people enjoy. I don't work anymore, so it feels good to be doing a thing for other people again.

All of my saves require Descent, Jaws of Hakkon, and Trespasser because I have schematics from those. This save also needs to have the add-ons Spoils of the Qunari and Flames of the Inquisition. I'm working on saves that do not require the add-ons, so far I only have an EM rogue. Working my way through the races/classes again without the add-ons. DLCs will still be required tho'.

I'm trying to use this Caiah but it says I need to update to a newer version, which I have done. I read through here and tried the trick you mentioned by changing the version number via Notepad. It is still not working. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hi there, it seems that i've run into a problem trying to import this save into my game, it says that i need to update the game and that i'm missing the flames of the Inquisition armor pack, is there a way i can get around that? Or is there something im doing wrong??

Edit: my game is completely up to date and i did the little patch trick thingy you suggested in the description too

I've had another person tell me that it wouldn't let her use the save because of the flames of the inquisition and spoils of the qunari packs. I have the deluxe edition with all of those extras, but I didn't think it would prevent someone from using these saves. The only thing I can think of, and it may not make the difference, is to make a save where I don't pick up any of the schematics or mounts from those extras. I'm going to give that a try soon, I just have a request to finish first. I'll be sure to update you here when I do.

Ahhh, I thought so too, honestly i didn't really think it would make much of a difference.

I started an elf female rogue yesterday evening, I thought I'd take her through to where I get Master Dennet's horses. Then I just won't pick up the mounts from the war table. I'll make a save after that and put it up here. If you'd be willing to download it and see if it'll run, then I'll know if it works and can make a completed save doing it that way. I'd be happy to make you a character of your choice as a thanks for testing it out for me!

edit: it will still require Jaws of Hakkon, Descent, and Trespasser. The only way for me to not have those schematics would be for me to make a save without using the golden nug, which would mean I'd have almost nothing schematics-wise.

That sounds like a good plan to me, and yeah, i'd be happy to help to see if it works out, I have all the equipment packs and dlcs, including the flames of the inq weapons, and war mount, the only exclusion is the deluxe armor pack.

Oh my gosh, that's so sweet of you!! Would you be alright with a female qunari rogue? If not a male elven rogue would be just as fine with me! Thank you so much!

So here's the test file - www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/2229/ - check it out and let me know if it plays. If she does, I'll be more than happy to make both a female qunari rogue AND a male elf rogue as thanks for trying it out. I've got my fingers crossed!
