Ever since I saw Borglet's Live Like Viv, I wanted to Live Like Blackwall or The Iron Bull. This mod facilitates all of that and much more!

Note: Please bear in mind that this mod will take a little longer than your average mod to process in ModManager. Depending on your choices, it could do over 11,000 edits.

Issues:
Needless to say, this is completely incompatible with Live Like Viv or anything that changes ItemPartAppearance files of the 3-piece, Companion/Inquisitor flavoured armours (please feel free to report these incompatibilities in the Posts section of this mod).

You may want to use a mod such as No Class Restrictions Remade to use armours that suit the new appearance (because it's possible that the original wearer was a different weight class (warrior heavy/rogue medium/mage light) to the new wearer). My Configurable Armour mod has no restrictions on it, so that would work, too.

[Note: At the time of writing, Frosty daimod compatibility is unreliable, so it's possible that this mod may not work with Frosty - I post the instructions here in the hope that one day this note will be obsolete]
To Use This Mod: Download Frosty or ModManager

How to Use
  • In Frosty, the mod's menu will display when you install it, drag the bottom edge of the window down, configure.
  • In ModManager, click the mod's name, click configure, drag the bottom edge of the window down, configure, click save, merge.

CREDITS
Many thanks to Borglet for their notes and inspiration. We stand on the shoulders of giants.
I want to thank everybody involved with the Mod Manager and Mod Maker projects, especially Galaxy/Eham, Zhentar, Dawnless Sky, Chrono414,
Tirnoney, esCanor, Dheuster and VoidRealms for their tutorials, without which I couldn't have done any DAI modding.
Thanks to ethicalinfant, plus wavebend, electricfish and munchyfly on Discord. drag6295 for belief that I could actually do something,
I also want to thank Nexusmods.
Even more thanks to people who have taken the trouble to report issues with the mods! It is only through your efforts that things get discovered and fixed.
Thanks to Fenix9514 for testing and diagnosing the multiple-abilities quirk on my configurable weapon mods.
I do not apologise for my crappy, inefficient scripts - the coding snobs can bite me!

OPTIONAL
Manually Changing default values:
Get Notepad++ from here: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download (DO NOT USE NORMAL NOTEPAD, it will break the mod)
Open the daimod in Notepad++
Scroll down to this code...

The numbers at the end of the line are what you are looking for (highlighted in bright green), here 5 is the default, 1 is min, 99 is max (any bigger and the game doesn't let you craft it)
ConfigElementsList.AddEnumElement( "IMH_Choice", "Inquisitor Male Human",typeof(InquisitorHM), 1);
The 1 at the end is the number of the appearance on the dropdown menu (starts at 0)
InquisitorHM Options are: _0_Inquisitor, _1_Blackwall, _2_Cole, _3_Dorian
So by default the Human Male Inquisitor will Live Like Blackwall. To change it to another character, simply change this number.

If you look above the Config section you will see all the menu options in this section :
    public enum InquisitorHM { _0_Inquisitor, _1_Blackwall, _2_Cole, _3_Dorian }
public enum InquisitorHF { _0_Inquisitor, _1_Cassandra, _2_Sera, _3_Vivienne }
public enum InquisitorEM { _0_Inquisitor, _1_Solas }
public enum InquisitorDM { _0_Inquisitor, _1_Varric }
public enum InquisitorQM { _0_Inquisitor, _1_The_Iron_Bull }
 public enum Human_Male { _0_Blackwall, _1_Cole, _2_Dorian, _3_Inquisitor}
public enum Human_Female { _0_Cassandra, _1_Sera, _2_Vivienne, _3_Inquisitor}
public enum Elf_Male { _0_Solas, _1_Inquisitor}
public enum Qunari_Male { _0_The_Iron_Bull, _1_Inquisitor }
public enum Dwarf_Male { _0_Varric, _1_Inquisitor }

As you can see, each race/gender combination has their own set of menu options. Please refer to this when using the menu (check the what the "typeof" value is on the ConfigElementsList and refer to the above enums).

Remember to File > Save from the menu
Done.
