Introduction

  • Note that DAI Mod Manager mods and Frosty Mod Manager mods can work along at the same time. Check out the Installation Instructions below or my tutorial on YouTube.
  • This mod page contains my personal minor miscellaneous mods that affect gameplay content. I might upload more in later days.
  • Unless otherwise specified, these mods are made using Frosty Editor (see credits below) and can only be applied using Frosty Mod Manager (FMM), a new tool that can fulfill more modding achievements and enable/disable mods very quickly and conveniently. Installation tutorial video and text are given below.
  • The Frosty Mod Project files are included for anyone who's interested.

  • Sustained Abilities - Allow Stamina/Mana Regeneration:
        Blizzard, Block and Slash,Ring of Pain, as well as Patient Riposte, the upgrade of Parry, no longer prevent mana/stamina from regenerating, though their basic cost is not nullified.
 
  • [Collection] DoT Abilities - Flanking & Critical Damage:
        Abilities and status effects that inflict damage over time get their 1-point flanking damage fixed and gain chance to deal critical damage; Involved objects are: Burning, Poisoned, Blizzard, Fire Mine, Ring of Pain, Toxic Cloud, Walking Bomb.

  • Equip to Any Slot (IMPORTANT! Only supports DAI Mod Manager):
        All kinds of equipment can be equipped to any equipment slot; The basic attack animation depends on your main-hand weapon; Sometimes you may see strange visual effects if you equip something not to their default slot.

  • Unlock Masterwork Crafting from Beginning:
        You can gather masterwork materials and craft masterwork equipment after establishing your Inquisition in Haven.

  • Burning, Poison, Walking Bomb - Flanking Damage & Critical Damage:
        Fix 1 point flanking damage; Allow critical damage.
 
  • Enemy Barrier No Regeneration:
        Prevent enemy mages' barriers from regenerating over time when Walk Softly trial option is turned on.
 
  • Fire Mine - Fix Flanking Damage:
         Fix 1 point flanking damage for Fire Mine.
 
  • Healing Potion to Livid & Mount Ability Mappable:
        Replace healing potion ability with Livid, making it mappable and not party shared; Allow mount ability to be mapped to your ability bar.
 
  • High Chance to Revive on Death:
        Increase chance to revive with half health on death from 5%, 10%, 15%, 75% (Kitty's Collar) to 15%, 85%, 95% and 100%.
 
  • Human Enemy Extra Passive Abilities:
        Add various passive abilities (such as Chance to Apply Bees! on hit) to the weapons of humanoid enemies; Some abilities may not work properly on enemies, e.g. Guardian Spirit.
 
  • Master Belt of Tonics - 2% Chance to Cast Blessed Blades:
        This belt, which only drops from Hakkon Wintersbreath in Jaws of Hakkon DLC, has the ability "2% chance to cast Blessed Blades on hit"; This mod works better with my "Chance to Cast Aegis of the Rift" mod.
 
  • On Dying 50% Chance to Cast Aegis of the Rift:
        Replace "2% chance to cast Blessed Blades" with "On dying: 50% chance to cast Aegis of the Rift"; Seeker Shield and Enhanced Blizzard Ring, both of which can only be obtained by random looting, carry this ability.
 
  • Remove Potion Class Restrictions:
        Remove the class restrictions for Lyrium Potion, Mighty Offense Tonic and Tears of the Dead.
 
  • Spirit Tree Tweaks:
        Add the following abilities to mages' spirit ability tree: Mark of the Rift, Aegis of the Rift, Anchor Discharge, 10% or 15% chance to revive on death; Unlock all ability upgrades in spirit ability tree. (In order to use Anchor Discharge outside of Trespasser story, download Unlock Mark Skills by MxT--ZS from the Optional Files section)
 
  • Toxic Cloud & Pain Aura - Critical Damage:
        V1.1: Fix for Pain Aura (Ring of Pain) not working as intended.
        Fix 1 point flanking damage for Toxic Cloud; Allow critical damage for these two abilities.
 
Installation Instructions
 



  • Download FMM from HERE, extract it to any place.
  • IMPORTANT! To install FMM Mods over traditional DAI Mod Manager (DMM) mods, please open the Update Folder under your game directory, rename Patch folder to something else, then rename Patch_ModManagerMerge folder to Patch.
  • Launch FMM, then select DragonAgeInquisition.exe under your game directory.
  • Click Import Mod(s) button, then select the mod files.
  • Select the mods you want to enable in the left area and click Apply Mods; Change the order of the mods as you need in the right area.
  • Make sure the mods you want to enable are checked in the right area.
  • Click Launch and have fun!

Mod Management and Troubleshooting

  • The FMM creates a ModData folder under your game directory, try deleting it when uninstalling Frosty mods or troubleshooting.
  • To enable/disable this mod, just launch/do not launch Frosty Mod Manger before you start the game.
  • IMPORTANT! To make changes to traditional DMM mods, you need to delete ModData folder and  undo step 3 of the Installation Instructions above (by restoring the original Patch folder).
  • The FMM mods have higher priority to DMM mods with the setups above.
