When equipping Enhanced Blizzard Ring or Seeker Shield, you have a chance to cast Aegis of the Rift on hit/dying.

Introduction
Note that DAI Mod Manager mods and Frosty Mod Manager mods can work along at the same time. Check out the Installation Instructions below or my tutorial on YouTube.
This is a minor mod I created when testing on-hit abilities. It does the following things:
- Replace "10% chance to grant 2 seconds of Blessed Blades" with "6% or 3% chance to cast Aegis of the Rift";
- Enhanced Blizzard Ring (Very low chance to obtain through random looting) and Seeker Shield (lootable in Cassandra's personal quest Promise of Destruction) have this ability;
- Enhanced Blizzard Ring can be equipped by any class.
Also uploaded the edited EBX files as well as Frosty Mod Project file for whoever's interested.
Updates
- Version 1.2a: Add another mod "On Dying: 50% Chance to Cast Aegis of the Rift", where everything else is the same as the original mod except the trigger condition being changed from "on hit" to "on dying"; Change Seeker Shield and Enhanced Blizzard RIng to Unique type.
- Add a separate optional mod that gives this ability to Master Belt of Tonics, which can (only) be looted from Hakkon Wintersbreath in Jaws of Hakkon.
- Version 1.1a: Fix for Aegis of the Rift not disappearing - now it will last for 20 seconds.
Installation Instructions
- For DAI Mod Manager, load and merge the mod, then have fun!
- For Frosty Mod Manager, make sure you've checked out instructions and troubleshooting descriptions from HERE.
Notes:
- Jaws of Hakkon DLC is required for this mod to work.
- Since this mod comes from my mod tests to Dragon Age: Inquisition, I might make similar mods only if I'm able to modify more abilities.
- If you have upgraded Aegis of the Rift with Retributive Strike, the random cast bubbles can also reflect projectiles and deal spirit damage.
- Unlike most of the other Chance on hit, cast XX abilities, random cast bubbles doesn't have a hidden internal cooldown time of 10 seconds.
- 6% chance is still a little high for me considering Aegis of the Rift is really powerful. Choose either chance that suits you better: )
