About this mod

Adds basically everything (I think) you could possibly want to buy to the stores in Haven, the Hinterlands, and Val Royeaux, and lets you buy crafting materials in bulk.

The basic concept for this was that most old store mods used an infinite supply of everything, which meant endless clicking, which I wanted to fix. Also I wanted to never have to travel to the Black Emporium again because it does not play nice with my many, many mods, plus I wanted access to some items that no-one else has yet added to store inventory.

There is one giant overhaul mod, as well as individual files for each store. They all buy and sell items at 25% of their usual cost (and can be brought down to 15% with Josephine's perks).

What's in the stores?
Without further ado, these are the stores and what I've done with them (please note that there will be 999* copies sold of each item unless stated otherwise):

  • Seggrit's shop in Haven: 5000 of each basic herb, all T1 rune essences, all vitaars in the base game, all T1 amulets**, and a selection of T1 Fade-Touched materials (the ones I personally find most useful).
  • Crafting area (Haven and Skyhold, by the blacksmith): respec and power amulets, 5000 of all crafting materials, 5000 blank runestones, T3 rune essences. REQUIRES JAWS OF HAKKON
  • Crossroads: all sigils, T2 rune essences, and a selection of T2-3 Fade-Touched materials (again just my personal selection). REQUIRES TRESPASSER
  • Redcliffe warrior store: all items from Trespasser, including accessories as well as unique armor and weapons. REQUIRES TRESPASSER
  • Redcliffe rogue store: infinite requisition quest items (including logging stands and quarries), 3 of each class specialization quest item, annoying to obtain quest items*** and a selection of T2-3 base game accessories**.
  • Redcliffe dwarven bookseller: all unique items from Jaws of Hakkon, The Descent, and the Black Emporium. REQUIRES THE DESCENT, JAWS OF HAKKON, AND THE BLACK EMPORIUM
  • Val Royeaux drapes shop (by the restaurant, unlocked when you discover Skyhold): copy of Seggrit's shop in case you forgot something after leaving Haven, minus the T1 amulets and plus all rare herbs.
  • Val Royeaux schematics shop: 10 of each creature research item. (turning in this many will unlock the relevant codex entry, unless the item is bugged, which some are because this feature appears to have been a rush job by the developers.)

*
If you access a store, save, merge in this mod, then access the store again, it may spawn a different amount than what I programmed in. Apparently the game keeps track of how much of an item you've seen previously, somehow. I haven't found a fix for this yet, I'll update if I do.
** While browsing through the game files I discovered three amulets that were apparently never added to the game because they're slightly bugged. They're called Force Amulets and when equipped by a mage they change the basic attack type of the mage's staff from projectiles to a medium-radius AoE attack. I think they're cool so I added them in, just know that occasionally after performing the AoE animation the mage will get stuck in position until you order them to do something else.
*** Specifically: the key for A Glowing Key - Storm Coast, research supplies for Frederick's Livelihood - Western Approach, Phoenix Tail Feather and Quillback Intestine for How to Lure a Dragon - Western Approach.

NOT compatible with other mods that change the same stores.
Pick and choose from the individual files so there's no conflict, or make sure the store you actually want to use is loaded later in ModManager (make sure it's further down the list).

Okay but what exactly is in the stores?
For an exact inventory of each store please see the New Stores excel file in the optional downloads.

There are two copies of <item> in <store>!
The stores may occasionally spawn duplicates of some items, I've done what I can to prevent that but it's ultimately an error in the base file that can't truly be fixed.

There are random T3 items in <store> that aren't listed on your inventories!
In order to stuff as many items as possible into each store, I've replaced them all with the inventory for the Suledin Keep store, because that one has the largest number of  available slots that I could find. That means that occasionally items from the Keep store will pop up in the store inventory. Just ignore them, or buy them if you want to.

Can you add <item> to <place>?
I could but I don't want to. But YOU can do it! With the files and tutorial here. Give it about an hour and you can modify any store or lootbox to sell/drop exactly what you want it to.
