Retextured outfits for Florianne, Gaspard, Briala, and Celene

Permissions and credits
There are no game spoilers in this description, but I make no guarantees about what you may find in the comments :)  I got carried away with the notes here...for the tl;dr, just read the green bits.

Four mods, to retexture the outfits for Florianne, Gaspard, Celene, and Briala.  They can be used separately or together, as you prefer.  All four should be compatible with mods that alter their hair, complexion, or masks, but will NOT be compatible with anything that alters their clothing.  These mods are simple retextures and don't require you to have any DLC installed.

I have no plans to create any more recolors of these outfits, but I've uploaded the files if you want to attempt your own.  Feel free to use my files as you like, no further permission required.  Just don't make money off of it.  I'd appreciate credit for my contribution to your project, but I'm not going to freak if you forget.

Florianne
As sister of the Grand Duke, cousin to the Empress, a Grand Duchess in her own right, and host of the ball, I thought Florianne deserved something a little fancier.  Her original outfit features a very subtle peacock/butterfly motif, and I decided to expand on the former, dressing her in emerald satin with blue/green gems and silver trim.  I worry that her new gown is so flashy, it may outshine the empress...but perhaps Florianne is willing to risk the faux pas.

  • The blue-green gems set in her skirt and flared collar sometimes get an odd "pixilated" look to them.  I haven't been able to fix it or determine the cause.
  • Her dress clips into itself when she dances.  It does this even with no mods installed, but it's not very obvious when her entire dress is cream-colored; this mod makes it more apparent.

EDIT: It has come to my attention that LadyGoDieVa posted something similar in the Images section: a spectacular gown in black, red, and silver.  I swear, the resemblance is 100% accidental (evidently, we have similar tastes!), and I'm looking forward to her mod if/whenever she has the time to release it!  Accident or not, though, I very much apologize for posting mine first; I'll be sure to do more thorough checks before posting mods in the future to avoid this.  I'm pretty new to modding, but I know that idea theft is a big deal; LadyGoDieVa has been nothing but kind and civil to me, and stepping on her creative toes was the last thing I wanted to do.

Gaspard
Gaspard feels little but contempt for the Game, but tonight may be his last chance to convince the world that he is the rightful emperor of Orlais, heir to the Valmont dynasty.  The Valmont family crest features a golden lion on a purple field, and Gaspard has chosen to emphasize his noble heritage with a purple sash and lion-embellished armor, offset by black satin and trimmed in lion fur.  I've also retinted the yellow-striped hide of his chestpiece to match an old-school High Dragon, to remind the court that the Grand Duke has faced far deadlier foes than their velvet-cushioned butts.

  • Yes, it's compatible with Gaspard Without Mask by iorveth1271!
  • There are a few npcs that share Gaspard's outfit (so far, I've found a soldier out in the boonies of the Exalted Plains, and another in Val Royeaux).  These npcs will end up with this new outfit as well.  Fortunately, I don't think there are any at the Winter Palace, so if finding npcs in the Grand Duke's attire bothers you, I recommend only keeping this mod installed during the Wicked Hearts quest.

Briala
Briala's retexture is relatively simple because she has more constraints in both story and file mechanics.  She's a long-time resident of the imperial court and a woman of no small influence, so I think the ambassador warrants a touch of elegance...but too much silk and jewelry might send the wrong message to her fellow elves.  A hint of armor or a sheathed dagger might have been appropriate, but she has had years to learn how to properly conceal such things.  She also shares her outfit with a LOT of npcs, which carries its own set of complications, and the game will not allow true metallics on her dress.  Grr.

In the end, I settled on a simple coat of bright green satin with white linen undergarments, trimmed in gold lace, plus a new keyring tied to her belt.  She remains in green for boring file mechanics reasons, but I like to think that she would never spend her resistance's hard-earned coin on a party dress, so she swiped some rich noble's curtains and sewed it herself.

  • To achieve the look in my screenshots, you'll need Mask Shop #2 and #3 by Shosholada: that removes the cloth "hat" attached to her mask.  I have not altered that cloth "hat" (since that would affect a LOT of npcs + the Inquisitor), so it remains reddish and doesn't match the outfit.
  • Briala shares her outfit with half the female servants at the Winter Palace, and this mod alters their appearance as well.  Briala's coloring scheme is unique, at least, so the servants remain in muted shades of brown/rose.  In Origins, Leliana mentioned that Orlesian nobles often dress their elven servants in fancy attire, and besides, this is a royal ball, so I think it makes lore-sense that the serving staff might be wearing something nicer than their regular clothing.

Celene
I adore Celene's in-game outfit, so I've left her mostly unchanged, just a bit of a facelift to keep her in line with her new, fancier cohorts: gold satin petticoat, icicle diamonds, and tweaks to the cut and texture of her dress.  A simple silhouette, yet elegant and expensive: the crowning jewel of Orlais must keep up appearances!
