About this video

Using the Origins toolset to make DA2 morphs. Previous problems solved and had to pinpoint a few vertice that the toolset didn't like.

Ooooh, wow, HOW, how do you do that?

The toolset itself is just an XML document where you can add sliders and base meshes. So taking the morph targets from DA2 and plugging them into the code. Presto. DA2 meshes are setup almost exactly like DAO - they just need to be converted over from DA2s 1.0 version to DAO 0.1s. Morph maker doesn’t even care about the rigging either. Granted, there were things to figure out and a few morph targets that needed a *slight* vertice adjustment.

A lot of stuff like the stubble/eyebrows/makeup map/ get determined by the base meshes material file so it was all automatic when the proper textures get plugging in.

The caveat is DA2s file management. The outgoing morph will need the file location manually put in with GFFeditor.

Thank you for that.. even though it is just a little out of my scope of understanding. I can use the toolset and edit .gda files etc well enough, but this is new.
I'm intrigued and willing to learn. Do you perhaps have any recommendations on where I could begin?

Quite honestly - not really. I'm sure someone might have. I actually very very very rarely use the toolset for any projects and do everything manually in gffeditor for each file.

I was working on something else when I was kind of forced to do this project in particular to make that one work "better".

Definitely a worthwhile pursuit though! Good on you for figuring it out.   I wish you well in your various projects. I'll get there eventually..
