So, here's my compilation of fixes. Some fixes are already covered by other mods (mostly for armors with visible skin, since the issue is usually pretty obvious on any character with a skin tint darker than "1"), but for completionism's sake, I've included all fixes I've made so far.
So, hopefully all the pieces of matching armor sets should now actually match. 😄
Most of the affected files were random HF armor pieces, and helms for both HF & HM.
Unfortunately, I haven't yet managed to restore tinting on hoods. I'm pretty sure something else is at work there, and I haven't been able to crack it yet.
Install in the override. Can be installed at any time.
Will conflict with other mods that edit the same files, so I recommend using this mod as a base, and overwriting it via load order with more specialized mods.
Optional folder - Restored Material Tinting - some Item Pack armors used blank dummy tints to prevent material tinting. I've removed them, mostly so that the "Helm of the Exile" better matches Beregrand's Breastplate.
Miscellaneous - patch for MotA - Vault Armor - Orlesian style. That mod's clipping fix for the male Orlesian noble outfit breaks tinting, so here's a patch allowing M!Hawke to look fancy and all the nobles to still have garish tunics.
I thought this was a vanilla bug and racked my brain for entirely too long trying to find errors in the game files. 😅😅😅
