Summon Wolf Ability (Beta)
This mod adds an ability to summon a wolf to fight alongside Hawke and company.  This was originally the first part of a planned Ranger specialization, but since I've gotten busy and am not certain when I'll get around to finishing that, I decided to just release this as is for the time being.

This is not a Mabari replacer.  The Summon Wolf ability will be added in addition to your dog, so that if you wish to have both with you, you can.

Overview
The Summon Wolf ability operates similarly to Hawke's dog.  (And for the moment, the wolf is pretty much a slightly stronger clone of Dog.)  That means you'll have to re-summon your wolf every time you pass through a zone -- but the cooldown is very quick, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

There are currently four separate versions of the wolf summon available:

-- DAI Style Wolf (default)
-- DAO Style Wolf
-- DAO Witherfang
-- DAO Blight Wolf

Youcan switch between them as you like at any point without issue.

Please note
that the animations and meshes for all of these are not quite perfect.  While I tried to get them working as well as I could, due to differences in the meshes (I had to use the DA2 Mabari skeleton and animations for them) some parts will look a little funky.  The jaw in specific is where you'll likely notice it most.  Given the limitations of trying to match them to the Mabari, they're unlikely to ever be perfect.

Installation

Download the ZIP file and place the ERF of your choice in your Override folder.

Once the mod is installed, you need to click on an object to get the ability added to Hawke.  This object is the "Sweet Smelling Flower" and can be found either at the beginning of the Blightlands in the Prologue, or at the start of Sundermount in Acts 1-3.

Alternately, if you don't want to wait to find the flower to get your wolf summon, open the console and type the following command:

runscript addtalent 230010

Although technically you could add this to any of your companions, I wouldn't recommend adding it to too many, as you might run into some performance issues with a bunch of wolves running around.

If you use a Maker's Sigh, the Summon Wolf ability should remain as one of your talents, but it will need to be re-added to your hotbar in order to function.
