Now that Kirkw(All) and Twinception have both been published, it is probably prudent to document somewhere the exact priority order in which characters will be selected for kidnapping. In the base mod, not any of the variants, it is as follows:
— romanced Anders — romanced Merrill — romanced Isabela — romanced Fenris — romanced Sebastian — circle mage Bethany — templar Carver
If none of those characters are applicable (remember, characters won't be kidnapped if in the active party at the time you talk to Keran in the warehouse) then the game chooses the first non-active, max-friendship follower in the party pool. The Varric variant adds Varric to the top of the list, and the No Sibling variant removes the twins from the bottom of the list.
Is this mod compatible with your DA2 Epilogue Restoration and Fixes? mod? Both of these edit the file called da2_app_const_h.nss and they differ between the mods.
In the Epilogue one you commented out const strings for PLT_GENPT_APP_BETHANY and PLT_GENPT_APP_CARVER. While in this one you uncommented those and added two new lines for Tallis Plot Constants: const string PLT_EYE000PT_TALLIS_MAIN = "3CDCD7551A474FD5A8E4B6CE7E86CFEC"; const int EYE_ROMANCE_ACTIVE = 0;
Can these two be used together and if so, in what order?

Ah I was not aware. Not a modder myself so I thought that this would cause a conflict. Thanks for explaining! What about .plo files? If two mods share the same .plo file will it conflict?
That could indicate a potential conflict, but the nature of the conflict would depend on the nature of the mods and the nature of the changes they made to the file.
Hey I know this comment is like 3 years old but I've been unable to stop thinking about it this whole time, so with the latest update I did in fact upload a version of the mod that will ensure Varric's always kidnapped so long as he isn't in the active party at the time ;D
If you're really that concerned about the possibility that he might be kidnapped then putting him in your party for the fight in the warehouse will ensure that doesn't happen :)
Thank you so much. I always thought it was a little odd that Carver/Bethany could get kidnapped when they are supposed to be far away from Kirkwall with the Grey Wardens.
And here I was a month ago creating a whole new save and killing off my sibling just to see what my romance option would say. If only it had you had come with this amazing mod then! Even so, this will be awesome for my next playthrough.
