Thin noses and lips aren't "European" , they don't belong to any specific ethnicity. Thin noses are pretty common in Somalia, which is a country in Africa. Funny how in these efforts to try and be progressive you people end up playing into stereotypes.
She looks so amazing! Paired with the curly hair mod & an extra pirate-y blue armor/coat and she looks like Yemaya incarnate - goddess of the Waking Sea!
I downloaded this back in 2019 and I've never regretted it. I've the opposite of regretted it, sometimes I'll just sit there and go "man, look at her, this is so good". I'd played DA2 a million times and never really noticed Isabela in DAO, and yet when I downloaded this and got to Isabela's intro cutscene there was this moment of "oh! there you are!" It just looks so right.
This mod is so gorgeous and blends in so well that I once flat out forgot this wasn't her actual look, and got really confused by some youtube cutscene compilations. I don't think I could ever imagine not using this mod. As far as I'm concerned, this is just what Isabela looks like now. Thank you for putting in the time and work to share this with us all!

She's still not black lol. Just because she has a beautiful dark skin doesn't mean she's black as she clearly doesn't have black facial features. She's heavily influenced by Christina Aguilera's stripped era, and Christina is latina woman. You're just looking for representation where there's none while taking away other people's representation.

It's totally acceptable and valid to mod a character's appearance for sake of representation and reliability, and this mod is truly awesome, but lets not pretend it's cannon lore because it isn't.
Late reply, but thank you bubbleso. I also feel that it's a bit rich to label this mod a sort of "fix", even when she didn't look nothing like this in dragon age origins. People and their delusions man. Many people have made alternative Isabela mods, but none go quite as far as to assert that it's the 'right' or 'fixed' version of her. Imagine if someone would've labeled a mod which makes her skin tone fair as such. All hell would break loose.

Although the thing about the fanart, I mean, you can mod our video games, obviously, so one of the most popular downloaded mods for Dragon Age II, as I recall, was a mod to change our one black female character, Isabela, into a blonde, blue eyed character. This is more than a "fix". This is a proper work of art. I am seriously in love with this Isabela ever since I found this mod some years ago. Now that I'm gonna replay the game I came straight for it again, I just can't imagine talking to any Isabela other than this one. So figured I had to comment to let you know how much she means to me! I keep changing my companion´s looks including Isabela, but I always come to this morph for her. It´s my favourite by far. I pair it with the curly hair mod.
I didn't realise until I played with this mod that Isabela had previously been wearing someone elses face on her face. Maybe that's why I couldn't connect with her character? THIS is what she ALWAYS should have looked like! So happy :D
Hey, if you make a version with a narrower mouth (like a more sort of refined, Kerry Washington thing?), I'll download the s#*! out of it and climb all over it. I'm eager for a take on a black Isabela, but I love the delicacy of her features in vanilla, you feel me?
This is by FAR the best headmorph for Isabela that I have ever seen. So many morphs in this game (for all of the characters, not just Isabela) have this weird sameness that I think is due to the limitations of the character creator, but this makes Isabela's face beautifully different from all of other morphs out there. I'm using it with "Isabela's Curly Hair" and "Ruushes Isabela" both by vaelsmod, and when Isabela was introduced my jaw DROPPED. Thank you for this lovely mod!!
