I like Merrill's default armor just fine but always thought the big holes at the armpits/elbows/back of the knees looked silly, so I patched em up. Either in full chainmail or leather patches where the holes used to be. Not the best texture editing work but I still find it less visually distracting than her normal speed holes
To install, pick one of the files and extract to your override folder
an 'update': I just wanted to point out that if anyone wants to do this exact same idea (or take what i've got and clean it up) and is better at photo manipulation than I am, please go right ahead, no credit necessary (although post me a link so I can start using your version heh). getting the 'patches' to line up obviously only produced passable results, and there are maps, possibly related to lighting, I simply failed to include because I don't know how they work.
