" This dark piece of wood carved with mysterious symbols and a strange and incandescent fruit in its upper part is nothing more and nothing less than powerful staff that belong to the legendary and terrible witch called Arshtat. The legend says that she was one of several daughters of the infamous witch Flemeth. Ruthlessly, Arshtat killed many Templars who dared to face it without counting the many other victims of the terrible lust for power she had. This staff is the final form in which the branch of the legendary Barnstokkr can take. To achieve this mysterious and malignant stage of evolution and do arise in the upper part the evil "fruit of chaos", the branch needs to drink the blood of countless victims. To allow the safe use without dying contaminated by the terrible evil energy emanating from the "fruit of chaos" were carved some strange symbols that point to some strange ritual. Nobody knows what happened to Arshtat that disappeared mysteriously. And much less what might happen if you keep feeding this cursed branch with blood. The evil creature sealed forever within Barnstokkr by a powerful spirit healer using a sacred and powerful mystical artifact known very well and desperately want this to be done and it feeds and corrupts the soul with the desire for power of those who dare to use of this unholy object of singular power and evil.
But by what mysterious reason the dangerous creature inside Barnstokkr wish so much that the staff to be fed with blood of their victims? What is the meaning of the strange magic runes carved into the branch? What happened to Arshtat? Many mysteries and dangers lurk behind the story of this strange and powerful mystical artifact malignant ..."

The status was based on "Cold-Blooded" and "The Final Thought" and has the attribute of evolution according to the level of the character, only if it is added via "console" to your inventory. Also it has an evil custom projectile and special "VFX" for the moment of combat and out of it. Also created a special version for "Bloodmages" with the attribute "bloodmagic cost."

INSTALLATION

You must choose only one version to use. The two versions do not work when used together.
1 - Copy the file for "Override folder". ( Documents BioWare Dragon Age 2 packages core override).

HOW TO GET THE ITEM
=====================
1) The dark staff is obtained after killing the Dragon Boss in Deep Roads.
2) If you want to get the dark staff at the beginning of the game via "console" do the following steps:
2-1) After activate the "console" ( How to activate the "console" in DA2), type the command without the quotation marks:
" runscript ashcurseb "
2-2) If the command has been entered correctly, you see the message "ADDED STAFF SUCCESSFULLY!" and the dark staff will be in your inventory. Remembering that ONLY this method, the dark staff has the attribute "Improves with level-up" for both types (Standard and Bloodmage versions).

UNINSTALLATION

To uninstall:
1º) Delete the file in "Override" folder:

TROUBLESHOOTING
==================
Create an effect "VFX" to DA2 without using toolset is extremely laborious and can occur "bugs", unfortunately. During "test phase" I did, unfortunately, I found some "bugs", but do not harm the game because it is only visual and which are as follows:
- Sometimes, when equipped the dark staff, the "VFX effect" may not appear.
- Sometimes it can happen that the "VFX effect" on the item to be reapplied every time it goes in and out of combat or when using the spell "Elemental Weapons" causes the "VFX effect" become too flashy or saturated .
- On rare occasions, it can happen to equip the dark staff and the staff became "invisible".
- On rare occasions it can happen that the "Dark Flames" disappear during the time of combat.
All of them are solved only if you unequip and equip again the dark staff.
Any other problem, please contact me. Preferably via PM that after solving the problem and if it is something of a general scope, I myself will post the solution on description of my mod. Be patient for the answer, because I have very little free time to support unfortunately.
