NEWS & UPDATES:

- 1.0: Release
- 1.1: Tevinter Chantry Amulet Added
- 2.0: Item Pack Added. Mod is now 100% standalone; no Vaddi required.

- 2.0 (Oct 22): "Immersion Version" Added: In this version, the Tevinter Chantry Amulet and Hawke's Favor items are obtained by completing the Tevinter Chantry Amulet and Key to Your Heart gift quests, respectively. The Robe/Boots/Gloves are obtained via the console.

- 2.0.1 (Oct 24): Appearance Pack Added: Appearance Packs allow you to easily customize the look of the equipment in this item pack. The main purpose of these is to offer you variety with no hassles, and provide support for using future DLC armor models. Please take note of the special instructions in the zip. Appearance Packs are totally optional, and I'll be adding more as more content becomes available.

Installation instructions have changed as of 2.0.1 (Oct 24).
The main Tair's Anders Item Pack .erf (or directory) now goes in your patch folder instead of override.
Please take note of this very simple change, further explained below.

ABOUT

This mod was initially released just one month after Dragon Age II shipped, with the intention of correcting the fact that, unlike other companions, Anders' gift quests didn't result in usable equipment.

I have expanded upon the original two gift quest items with an entire set of items thematically itemized for Anders. No matter how you like to build and tactic Anders, there should be something for everyone in this pack.

Note that the item pack uses the Mage II DLC models, as shown in the image. You do not need to have the DLC to use this mod.

My Anders morph shown in the image is available here. Please note the morph is not included in these files.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my mod. Special thanks to Xiorai! If you like this mod, take a look at her mod, Freedom's Call.

REQUIREMENTS

- Robe/Boots/Gloves only: Dev console enabled
- Robe/Boots/Gloves only: A way to equip your party members, such as Ish's mod.

INSTALL ANDERS ITEM PACK (required)

- Unzip the .erf file and place it in My Documents / BioWare / Dragon Age 2 / packages / core / patch
- The path is the same on Macs, just replace "My Documents" with "Documents"
- This file is a little different than most mods because I now offer Appearance Packs, which are sort of like mini-mods. That's why the core Anders Item Pack file needs to go in patch, not override.

INSTALL APPEARANCE PACK (optional)

- Unzip the .erf file and place it in My Documents / BioWare / Dragon Age 2 / packages / core / override

SUMMON THE ITEM PACK (optional)

- In-game, open the console and type:

runscript tair_anders

- Then check your inventory. There is no confirmation message.
- If you are using the Immersion Version, only the Robe, Gloves, and Boots will appear in your inventory.
- To receive the Ring and Amulet, you must complete their respective gift quests (in Acts 2 and 3).

HOW TO UNINSTALL

- Remove any item pack equipment from Anders, then save and exit the game (important!).
- Delete the Tair's Anders Item Pack .erf (or directory) from your patch folder.
- Delete the Tair's Anders AP .erf (or directory) from your override folder.

CREDITS

- Thank you to everyone who has downloaded, commented on, and endorsed the initial version of this mod.
- Sunnie, whose mods educated me.
- ishmaeltheforsaken, for her mod which made equipping companions accessible to everyone.
- Thor, for posting an item delivery script in the mod author forums.
- Xiorai, for testing and for her thoughtful suggestions.
- BioWare, for the resources.

KNOWN ISSUES

- Main file: none at this time. Items and console script are standalone.

- Immersion Version: may not function if you are using another mod that edits Rewards.gda. If you find that the Immersion Version does not work for you, please use the main version and summon the items with the console. To optimize compatibility, my mod only references two lines from Rewards.gda.

- Appearance Pack(s): For these to work, the Tair's Anders Item Pack file must be in your patch folder, and the Tair's Anders AP appearance pack file must be in your override folder. The Appearance Pack is overriding the Item Pack, which makes switching appearances a hassle-free experience for you.

- Appearance Packs will also change the appearance of the Mage DLC gear. I need to look into properly setting up new model IDs to fix this problem at some point...
