About this mod

Because you never know when a Templar or Blood Mage will show up on your doorstep in Kirkwall, Hawke will now wear their usual armor inside the Amell mansion instead of the smoking jacket/pants/skirts/slippers.

Permissions and credits
I couldn't stand the Hugh Hefner-ish outfit my Hawke was stuck in, inside the mansion and upon seeing Hotieadin's 'Bra and panties' mod, I wondered if I could do something similar, where Hawke was in his underwear exclusively while inside his mansion. While I haven't managed to do that (yet?), as a compromise, Hawke will now remain in their armor inside their house.

Installation: Extract into My Documents\Bioware\Dragons Age 2\Packages\Core\Override folder. I recommend putting the file in its own folder in the Override folder, just for ease of removal later.
Uninstall: Delete either the folder you put the file into, or apr_cv.gda if you didn't.

Q: Does this mod do anything else?
A: No. It simply keeps Hawke in whatever armor you have him/her wearing inside your mansion. As per KwanJin's assistance, I've changed the file so it should have fewer conflicts down the line as it does not use the entire apr_base.gda - it only deals with the two lines involving Hawke's house clothing.

Q: Why can't you put Hawke in their underwear?
A: Well, you can and you can't. The problem is this:

Right now, when you go into the mansion, the item you put on is a single one, instead of gloves/chest piece/boots. So, I could set, say, flag all the Champion armor _nuda and use it in conjunction with this file but the side effect is that you run around the city in your underwear all the time. If I set the house armor _nuda, it cuts off your hands and feet - and Hawke is no Phantom Limb.

I don't know if it's possible without a real toolset to have Hawke wear the underwear indoors and normal clothes outside - I'm going to keep playing with it a bit but I'm guessing it's either beyond my capabilities or we have to wait. If it's the latter, by the time the new toolset is released, I'm sure someone more skilled than I will have everything well in hand. I consider this a for now compromise.

Q: How will this effect cutscenes?
A: It shouldn't, although the only testing I did was with Fenris. There was a minor amount of clipping at the beginning of the romance scene while I was wearing the Robes of the Notorious Pirate but nothing major. The "after" scene puts you in your underwear and you won't put on your armor again until after he's left.

The rest of these I watched on YouTube so I can only describe what I think you should expect:

Isabela and her "after" scene is a bit different - you're back in your smoking jacket before she goes, so I'm not sure how much of a suspension of disbelief it will require to imagine you dressed back into your armor that quickly.

Merrill's scene looks to be the same as Fenris' - you end up in your underwear.

Anders is like Isabela - everyone's dressed, so, again, if it concerns you, you know now what to expect.

Q: Any conflicts with other mods?
A: Any that change how clothing is handled inside the Amell Hightown mansion, or any that use the entire apr_base.gda file and do not remove the lines dealing with home clothing. So my own Finery mod conflicts. Other currently known conflicts are any mod that changes Hawke's movement/run speed and the Female animations tweak mod. There may be others that are unintentionally conflicting. If you let me know which mods you have installed (and either of mine are not working) I can try to track down the problem.

Q: Can you wear (insert clothing name here) outside the home? Can you make it so this mod lets us wear (clothing name) all the time?
A: The quick answer is yes, it's possible to do that but no, I'm not going to make a mod for it and here's why.

To wear said armor all the time, all you really need to do is change an armor's skin to the one you want to wear permanently. The issue is picking which armor you want to reskin and you also need to consider whether or not you want it to be in any way useful to you. Ideally, you'd probably want a piece that evolved with you (so you never need to change out of it) but I've not read up on how to do that.

Like, I could set the Champion's armor to look like noble's clothing, but you don't get Champion armor until Act 3, for example.

There are a lot of tutorials out there which tell you how to re-skin items (er, I think there are?) but if you're absolutely dying to do it, can't figure it out and don't care what sort of stats the item has, I can probably walk you through it via PM. Keep in mind I'm no expert myself so it'd very much be the blind leading the blind.

Anyway, this is my first mod and I realize it's nothing special (taking out a single line is hardly anything to write home about) but hopefully some folks will find it useful until the real modders can get to work on it.
