Companions look amazing, but is there a reason why there isn't a redesigned Alistair? :c

First, thank you, I love the mod but for some reason Zevran doesn't have any hair.

The DAR Zevran morphs use either his original BioWare hairstyle or require installing an additional mod, for the changed hairstyle.

Darkkami version - requires installing More Hairstyles (or at least the files for em_har_ren02_0)
Zevran 7, Zevran Final (Aesthetic), Zevran Final (Lore)  -  use his default Bioware hair (em_har_hd3a_0)

The aesthetic version is incompatible with this mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/861?tab=files  (the commoner clothes--female version to be specific) with both installed the hands of the female dwarfs becomes an aberration lol

I cannot replicate your issue with both the DAR Aesthetics files and the commoner clothing alteration; the female dwarf hands appear as they would in a vanilla environment.

To troubleshoot, first remove the DAR morphs folder from your override. If the issue persists, then the cause is not the DAR morph files. (Which I suspect is the case, as morphs will not distort clothing models... it's an entirely different set of files with no overlap.)  Keep removing mods from your install (first the overrides, and then the DAzips) until the issue resolves. The last mod removed is where the conflict can be found.

I just noticed in the installer that it says "this is not compatiable with any other face modifications" - does this mean I cant use a different companion face morph? like https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/5451 (Retrogue Leliana Morph) or https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/1723 (The B@st@rd Prince)

Also I just wanna double check this is comp with Improved Atmosphere?

There cannot be two face morphs for the same NPC installed simultaneously. Fortunately, it's not complicated to avoid such conflicts with DA Redesigned.

If you want to use a Leliana morph from another mod, then don't install a DAR morph for her. (All DAO companion morphs for DA Redesigned are installed separately from the base mod.)

And it's easy to avoid conflicts where non-companion NPCs are concerned. For example, I use DAR as a 'base' for NPC faces, but I prefer my personal morphs (and some from other mods) for many characters (all elves, Jowan, Anora, origin story family members, Ser Gilmore, Eamon, Teagan. etc...). So I first install DAR, and then delete the corresponding DAR morph file for each non-DAR morph I install.

tl, dr; installing two identically named MOR files at the same time creates a conflict, but resolving the conflict is as simple as removing one of the conflicting morphs.

And if Improved Atmosphere does not include NPC face morphs replacements, then the two mods would be compatible. (Be sure to install the 'fixpack' from the sticky post on the IA 'Post' tab, or you will have issues like headless NPCs, no matter what other mods are installed.)

Hello, after installing the mod, the language (I play Polish) is mixed with English. During the dialogue, it can sometimes be English, sometimes Polish.

DA Redesigned contains only face morphs, textures, and tints; it does not include any localization, language, dialogue, or audio files, and thus cannot have the effect you've described.

Uninstall DAR (or just move the files for it out of your override folder). Does the language revert to vanilla?

Hi, I don't really know a lot about mods, but I installed the redesign and downloaded true textures, aesthetics, and my version of each character to my Bioware/DragonAge/Override folder yet it seems to do nothing to any of the characters in game.

Which version of the mod are you trying to install (executable or manual)?
Are you installing to the correct override folder (Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override)?
What specific companion morphs are you installing?

some of my companions show up without gear, its a minor issue as i can just equip them later but is there a way to fix?

Companions without gear cannot be caused by Dragon Age Redesigned, because the mod does not change, alter, or affect the items equipped by companions or NPCs in any way; DAR is comprised of face morphs, textures and tint (for those morphs), and possibly the hairstyles required for the morphs (for the Recommended or Aesthetic  versions).

NPC and companion gear is specified by UTI files, and not MOR files. Missing gear can be caused by a myriad of things... conflicting UTIs, from multiple mods; UTIs that call for mod-added gear that is not present in the install (i.e., a missing required mod); starting gear that has attributes not met by the companion stats; and possibly even Item Variation ID conflicts. (Though the latter more typically results in gear with the wrong visuals, or what is usually described as 'floating heads'.)

If the 'missing' gear appears in inventory, then the issue is probably one of insufficient attributes.

Did you download the manual install version of the mod, or the executable installer version?

To install the manual version of DA Redesigned:
Download 'Dragon Age Redesigned Manual Version 1.0' from the 'Optional' files area.

      • Unzip that archive.
      • Move or copy the Dracomies Textures folder into the game's override folder
(Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override). Dracomies Textures must be installed, as omitting that component will result in issues with the morph files, like shiny silver/grey skins and milky white eyes.)
      • To use one of the general NPC replacer morph options, choose one of the three folders inside the 'Versions (Lore, Aesthetics,
Recommended)' folder, and copy or move it to the override folder.
      • If either the 'Aesthetics' or 'Recommended' options were installed in the previous step, then download and install the tucked hair mod, which is required by those non-companion NPC morphs. (See below for a step-by-step on installing tucked hair.)
      • If you want to use DAR companion replacer morphs, download and install any
required mods for them. Copy or move the folders for your preferred companion morphs into the override folder. (There are either documents or image files in the folders with the companion morphs, that list any additional requirements.
Some additional, general information on installing mods for DAO:
      Installing Dragon Age Mods
Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies
Installing cosmetic mods for Dragon Age (This is mostly relevant for mods that affect the player character's appearance; a merged chargenmorphcfg.xml file is not needed for NPC cosmetic changes.)
      --------
Step-by-step instructions for installing tmp7704's tucked hair:
Get tucked hair from the 'official' download location: https://www.moddb.com/mods/tmp7704/downloads/tucked-hair

Unzip the downloaded archive (tuckedhair.zip). If you just want the hairs required for DA Redesigned, then unzip the tucked_hair.zip archive, and
put that in your override folder. You don't need the earring hairs or the chargenmorphcfg.xml for the NPC morphs.

If you want to use the basic 'tucked hair' styles for your player character, then you'll need to also install the chargenmorphcfg.xml file. If you are using any other cosmetic mods in chargen, you'll need to merge the chargenmorphcfg.xml files for all those mods... there can only be one chargenmorphcfg.xml file in override.

If you want the earring hairs (for your player character), also place that unzipped folder in override. The earring styles aren't included in the
included chargenmorphcfg.xml. You can find my mergable chargen xml for both the tucked hair and earring hair styles elsewhere on the Nexus: tucked hair chargenmorphcfg (including earring styles);  there may be other similar files from other modders. Again, if you are using any other mods for chargen, then the combined tucked + earring hair xml should be merged with the other cosmetic XMLs.

All my Zevran versions have white hair, looks like a missing texture problem. Any Idea on how to fix this?

      Missing tint, not texture.

Install Pineappletree's Vibrant Colours LIGHT. The Zevran morphs require that mod as a dependent file.
