About this mod
A very lightweight mod which changes the heraldry of the Cousland Guard Shield, equipped by the garrison of the Highever Castle. The shield's description implies it should show the seal of Highever, not the one of Cousland family, which is on the shield by default.

There are quite a few mods that change the default Human Noble's equipment and that of the Cousland family and their soldiers, I happen to have created a few Cousland-related mods myself. This mod here is compatible with each of them, as long as the characters still use the vanilla Cousland Guard Shield - I only modified its heraldry, some mods may achieve that effect, but they usually change the equipment extensively - I prefer to keep to the original vision, only adjusted to fit the lore even more.
Cousland Guard Shield's description:
"The seal of Highever has been painted on the front. The wood was hewn from the forests surrounding the keep."
What the lore says about the seals of Highever and its ruling family:
Highever seal - two spears crossed on a green teardrop. It should be used by common soldiers in the Cousland service.
Cousland seal - a white wreath on a blue background. The Cousland family's personal coat of arms. One that should be only worn by the Couslands themselves. A family heirloom, such as the Shield of Highever, certainly deserves to display the proud wreath.
Even though the Highever heraldry is in the game files, Bioware decided to use the Cousland seal for each shield used in the castle. It's what we can also see in the introductory movie for this origin - this is something one can't do anything about, it's not an in-game cutscene. I have to admit, it hasn't bothered me for years - but I finally realised it wouldn't hurt to have the Highever heraldry not only when using mods which extensively change the items.
