This tutorial aims to reproduce the steps undertaken by myself to create one or more custom Followers, implementing them in a simplistic manner with relatively low scripting effort. The goals for myself were this: • being able to start the new standalone module with a party of 4+ • have them start at level 6 • being able to swap them out through the Party Picker so we got only three at a time • Having a custom background for the Party Picker • Custom skill, talent and stat progression for Followers • Specializations for Followers from the get-go like vanilla Followers What I didn’t take into consideration much is plot interactivity. There are Follower tutorials on the DA Toolset Wiki which I think cover this particular subject much more adequately.
Additionally, I have included the XLS files I have used for my own in-progress mod's 2DAs relevant to the custom follower framework.
Hope this is of use to someone. Do point out if I messed up somewhere.
Many thanks to the members of the DA Toolset Discord server, you are all lovely inspirational people ♥
