I have no idea why people don't use Anitmicro, you can do pretty much anything with it. Want to cycle through 6 commands with one button with repeated key presses (think menus) - easy. Want to combine tap, tap and hold and hold into 3 commands on one button (think quickbar commands here)- without having to swap sets to do it - gravy.
Hi, so i don't know if you will ever see this, but i can't get this mod to work, so i would like to try out antimicro, but i don't really know how to configure it correctly, do you have a setting preset you can share ? :)
Just download it, go to the Wiki and dive in. https://github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro/wiki Mapping the keys to do what you want isn't the hard part. Figuring out what you want to do with each key so that the controller becomes a 2nd skin in your hands is. That will be different for every player, what is intuitive for one is a cluster-flock for another. The latter is exactly how I felt when I tried to use someone else's gamepad map....
For me, I love the Tap and Hold mechanic, others probably hate it and would rather have multiple sets holding individual commands.
Hi, I really want to use this, as I can no longer use M&KB for long, health issues.. Can you please tell me how to use this with an xbox one controller...?
I am having trouble getting this to work with my Xbox One controller. The program seems to be running, but nothing happens and I cannot use the controller. Anybody have any ideas? Am I missing something super simple like it needs to be running from the same root folder as the .exe or something?
Thanks, that solved the problem. However now I have the problem that the camera spins weirdly around without me doing anything. It is unplayable this way .
That is an issue with the floating point on your controller. If you have another controller give that a try. The coding for the axis controls is a lot to go through, eventually I want to give the option to set axis points but I have not had the time.
it doesn't work at all with the xbox360 controller, the character just keeps running and the camera rotating. that's beside the fact that the script ruins any use of the PC outside the game: QWA keeps typing in endlessly, and one has to force explorer to end via task manager.
Thanks I will update the description, I should have included that anyway as the PS3 and X360 controllers were fundamentally different with their axis control. That said the specific issue with QWA sounds more like your left stick has a high floating point. Example my old DS4 controller floats about 7 degrees but my new one doesn't float. So when I programmed I did so according to my old controller, so if yours has a floating point higher than 8 then it will behave exactly as you described. I will eventually re-evaluate my axis layout but it is a lot of code to go through.
Also you should still be able to right click the icon in the task bar to close, but I see your point and will look into adding a hotkey to stop the script in case this happens.
Thanks for the reply and the explanation! i wish you all the luck for this ambitious mod. this game really needs a controller mod support.
EDIT: wow great improvement on 2.9 ! you were right about the floating point so i changed my controller, now i just have 2 issues: 1- i can't walk forward or left (instead i have camera rotating left) and the camera can't rotate left on right stick. i think the problem comes from my AZERTY keyboard and you made your mod based on a QWERTY one. 2- i have an annoying error message every now and then.
Yes it seems that it would be related to the keyboard layout as this is set to the default layout for a qwerty keyboard. Have you tried changing the controls in game to the QWERTY setup? I am not sure if there would be a coding change needed to account for the differences but I will look into it. Thanks for the feedback and the support.
FYI there was another issue that I did not find in the 2.9 version that was just pointed out to me. I am not sure if it would solve your problem or not but you could give it a try.

What does this mean?
