As many people are bothered by spiders, I created a mod that replaces all spiders with deepstalkers. This also works for the Corrupted Spider Queen in the Deep Roads.
Install by unzipping the folder to Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Packages/Core/Override.
This will conflict with other mods that affect the apr_base.gda file. This is most likely to just be other mods that change creature models in this way, as mods that affect character appearance usually do it a different way. It is compatible with my Awakening Children Model Replacer. I'm happy to replace other models too, or replace spiders with other models, just leave me a comment and I'll get on it as soon as I can.
This has only been tested in certain spots in the game, so if anyone has any issues please let me know and I can work on it. As far as I know, it also works fine in Awakening. There will still be webs in areas with spiders, and I believe there are some spider background noises in the Deep Roads that this mod doesn't remove.
