Excellent mod, well done. Was a bit of a faff getting the other requirements installed, but nothing too painful. And I find it great after going back to this game from so many years ago, to be seeing NPC's with a much better faces than I last recalled. It's allowed for a refreshing playthrough and drastically improved my experience. Congrats!
Great mod, I love it! I love how you keep the feel of each character while making them look better! It's a bit frustrating though that you dont have screenshots of ALL the characters you changed. Also just so you know, the folders holding the mods are named wrong! If you download the heavy version you get a file that says "less requirements version" even though I think the contents are correct.
Hey! I'm very new to modding DAO, mostly been following a guide but I really like your changes to most of the NPCs. So, potentially dumb questions.
1. The description says the elf update has .mor files that I need to delete. Which files are those, specifically? 2. The elf update has. SO many files in it. Are any of them overrides of others that I need to choose one over the other and delete the rest? 3. Can I delete their presets on HOF faces and be safe (I have a few other presets I've downloaded bc I could actually see a preview of what they looked like and liked them). 4. Does it change Zevran's face? (I already have a mod that makes him look how I want him, so I don't want him suddenly having his awful DA2 face) If so, are there associated files to that face I can delete without breaking the whole mod?
1. Good question. Any that I replace (all the .mor files that start with ef or em) is the right answer, but that's no real help. Both this mod and elf update have all .mor files divided into folders based on location, so you could copy paste my .mor files into elf updates location folders (beware that the folders dont have the exact same names). Otherwise, just use the heavy version of this mod, it has the elf update incorporated. 2. A lot of the files in elf update affect the body rather than head, so if you don't care to change the body, I suppose you could delete everything but the "elf_update" sub folder 3. I actually don't know for sure, but the elf update change the base of all elf heads, so It'll likely effect other presets you install 4. No, all my companion .mor files are a separate mod
No problem, feel free to message me again if you need
Hi, I'm a little new to using the toolset and I recently made a custom headmorph for Adaia, but it's from scratch. I'd like to use it to override her default appearance but I'm not sure how since she's a DLC character. Since you've made one for people to install, I was hoping you could walk me through how you achieved that? There aren't any mrh files included in the DLC, so I'm not sure what Adaia's file name is, nor do i know where i'd put the file so the headmorph would work anyway.
You need to name the file "ef_em_lel000_adaia" (: Remember to export as .mor As for the placement, anywhere in the override folder should do (ps if you need any other .mor names, you can download my mod and just in the "mor files" folder)
I tired setting her name as "ef_em_lel000_adaia" but it still didn't work. But, I recently tried "ef_lel220_adaia" tho, and that has done the trick. Thanks for reassuring me that my location was correct, though. I was starting to wonder if it was more complicated than I thought. :)
i'd like to revamp all the major characters in the Leliana's Song DLC, but I haven't found the mrh names of Silas or Bonny Lem. Most NPC's tend to suffer from same-face-syndrome, as we all know, but I especially want to fix up Bonny Lem since he has a different appearance in DA2. How did you acquire the mrh names of the other characters? :P
(I think I'll eventually expand my project to the other small DLC's, but for now I'm starting small :D)
That sounds fun ! I don't really remember :/ But I do remember that I couldn't export the names myself, so I believe I found them elsewhere. Sorry I can't be of more help, but it's been long since I modded DAO
I just have a few questions about the mod. I've downloaded the light version and only want to use some morphs for characters that haven't been covered by DA Redesigned or Ferelden Elves, does the Textures Folder need to go into the override folder as well if I already have the required mods as well as Ellise's Unique Companion Textures? Would also like to ask what changes were made to The Guardian, Hessarian, Shartan's and The Shades equipment? Thank You in advance.
Yes, I have edited some of the texture files, but you only need to keep the corresponding texture files for the morphs you keep. I actually can't remember what I changed ! I'm pretty sure it's just armor changes ? It's been so long, but this is a great reminder that I should write such changes in the description next time
Hey, just wanna say I love your mod! But I noticed that some of the named textures (Loghain for example) are used for other characters (Irving and Greagior). I really like your morphs and want to keep using them. However I use a different mod for Loghain (and several other companions just using Loghain as an example) that comes with it's own face textures.
My question is (and idk if you'll know this) can I have two sets of textures in my game for the same character? Like, I'm not using your Loghain morph (right now anyway) so will the textures not map to him? Or will the textures try to map for Loghain and have a fight with the other textures and I'll end up with a monstrosity?
It should work fine (: The texture name doesn't matter, it's all about what texture is connected to the head in the .mor file As long as the other mod doesn't add texture with the exact same name, it should be left unaffected
This looks really promising, just what my 2020 DAO session needs to make it look fresh and improved. From the pictures its quite obvious that you have an artist's touch.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my ignorance.

(Although the real intention of my comment is to express my appreciation for your image descriptions, which I'm still LOLing over. :D)
also what other mods do you have installed ?

Will put it into the mod mix, cheers!
