I'm finished modding DOA. I have enjoyed my time modding and with the community here but it is time for me to move on. The readme should answer any questions and help avoid any problems with the mod.
Thank you again for your interest and I hope that you enjoy the mod and it adds to your game.
Wanted to say thanks for your mods. ARR, Dark Ritual, Fare Ye Well Duncan, and this one. They're simple but add so much depth and roleplaying to the game, and I genuinely feel like they could have been part of the original. So thanks for making these.
Hi! I've tested your little goodbye mods (this one and Duncan's) and I LOVE them! I just noticed they change some dialogues and put them in English. Is there a way to have my dialogues in French? If I have to provide a translation, I would happily do it!
Unfortunately, I don't know how to translate a mod into another language and I don't have the toolset installed right now, so couldn't do it even if I did know how. I've had other people translate some of my mods and there is probably information out there about how to do it. So, if you or anyone wants to translate either mod into another language, that's fine with me.
Yep, amazing! Was so good I had to go back an change the fanfic I'm writing alongside my playthrough. LOL The desperation of the situation was very well conveyed in the animation. Keep up the brilliant work! Endorced, voted, liked, and recommended!
I had completely forgotten about that creepy line from Fergus, but I heard it while doing some testing and it felt so inappropriate. I can't believe that line was ever written, thanks for removing it!
I am having issues with this not showing up. I have tried the delete/ reinstall, rinse and repeat a couple of times. It is not showing up the the installed content tab either. I do run several mods including, but not limited to,Improved Atmosphere, Dragon Age Redesigned, Noble Couslands, and Ser Gilmore NPC. I am hoping to get this working it seems like a perfect addition to the Cousland Story-line. Any thoughts on what might be causing the issue?
Well, thanks for trying to get it to work. Hopefully it is something simple. The mod won't show up on the installed content tab. It sounds like a conflict but I didn't think any of those mods changed his dialogue file.
Do you happen to be using the Magenta Emerald mod, that does contain a copy of his dialogue file. Search your override folder for 'bhn100cr_gilmore.dlb' and 'bhn100cr_gilmore.dlg' if you find a copy of those files, then remove them from override.
If you have a file in override called 'toolsetexport' put the mod into it and try again. If that doesn't work then let me know.
What exactly is the mod doing or not doing? Does it proceed just like the normal game or is there anything odd? Where are you starting from, i.e., did you start a new game or a save and at what point? When you talk to him for the first time are there additional or different dialogue options to pick from?
Thank you for the reply. I do not have the Magenta Emerald mod, so no conflict there. I am not finding the "toolsexport" file in the override folder, a search for it only brought up the additional romance scenes for Rory.
Everything is running as was before the install, with no changes to any dialogue. I have a habit of exhausting his dialogue before going into the kitchen, there is no change there, and the attack and castle gate scene proceeded as normal.
I will try this on my other computer, that only has the family friendly mods on it and see if it will run on that one, then we can rule in or out what else needs checking on my end.
I will get back on this after 3:00pm Central time. Time for me to go do the Momma gig.
So, it sounds like the game isn't seeing the new file at all. If you don't have toolsetexport, don't worry about it.
Just to be sure you searched the override for bhn100cr_gilmore.dlb and bhn100cr_gilmore.dlg, right and there were no copies of that in override other than the mod itself?
If that is the case, I don't know what the problem is, because even if you have a copy of that file somewhere in your mods, if there is no other copy in the override except the copy for this mod, then it should override any other version of that file and play. If it isn't, I don't know why.
Let me know how your testing goes and we'll see if we can't narrow down the problem. I'll think on it a bit too.
I had been having the same problem. Nothing worked. Tried installing and uninstalling. On a whim, I stuck it in the main Program (86x) package/core/override folder and boom! Works.! I think the steam version of the game from Origin Download Manager compiles certain folders and assets differently. Seems like if I place a mod in the Documents folder, some of the mods work and others don't, yet if I place them in the Progam folder the ones that don't work do. This also holds true in reverse. Certain mods that should go in the Program file only work from Documents folder. Don't know why...
Maker's breath! This was such a sweet mod. I almost cried. So short, but powerful! Thank you so, so much!! I'm completely heartbroken now tho. I think if he would have smiled sadly (as if finally have gotten a kiss from his crush, but knowing that he will be dead moments later, that's how I imagined it), I would have been dead on the spot, but this desperately sad expression that he had was also very heart wrenching! Thank you!!
You're welcome! As I have said before I love people cry, in a good way.
The problem with making a cutscene like that is you're trying to leave it open so that everyone can interpret it their own way or at least it doesn't contradict how they imagine it. For some people, a smile at that moment might not be appropriate or how they see it or how they see him, me being one of those people. So I didn't include it.

Sorry I can't be of more help.
I worked very hard on the animations for all my mods. It is too easy to do too much which ruins imo.
Very much appreciated!!!
Thanks so much for the comment!
