Please be kind to me! This is my first time modding a game and I really wished to try it with origins, as I was deeply engrossed in the lore back in my childhood. Ok so coming straight to the point, I was really happy with the drastic changes made to the environment at first, but I started noticing something strange.
    1. The tents at Ostagar are losing the "skin"  as I look at it from different angles, like from one side it's HD and rustic, other side it's just a decolorised brown patch of 'something'. I really don't know how to put it, but it's really shabby.
    2. Also in Ostagar, the huge statues holding staves or banners of some sort, have their staves in this strange blue/red color when I look at it from a certain angle(same as above)
I haven't played further as I started this playthrough an hour ago and these things were breaking the emersion.
    Please assist/Enlighten me.
P.s- I have a 1660 super, and I have the graphics at the highest setting possible normally. Also yes, I have skimmed the memory usage to 4gb.

Try using this 4gb Patch. It should help resolve your texture problems

You can extract it anywhere. Open the file and direct it on the main .exe of Origins (not the Launcher) inside the binaries folder. Check the box of allowing 4GB and voila!

Hi. I have put a fix for the Loghain tent in Ostagar here. I do not think that this mod is maintained anymore. If you find other wrong textures or issues in this excellent mod, post them there. If I have time, I can try to fix them.

Great mod.  I'm using this with The Old Gods and it all fits together seamlessly, nothing looks out of place or mismatched.  A great update for the game in 2023.

    Excellent work!

Does the mod support subfolders, or do the texture files need to be placed loosely directly in the override folder?

Did you ever find the answer to this? I have the same question.

Yes, you can put it in subfolders. As long as it's somewhere in the override folder it will work.

Good day. May I ask you don't you have conflicts while using both mods at the same time?

I also got conflicts when using Retexturing DAO and Theta HD. I found a fix tho!

Basically I uninstalled them from my override folder (I use DAO Mod Manager), created an entirely blank new folder (named it Retexturing DAO with Theta HD), copy + pasted all of the testures found from "Elelith_Textures_DAO" (I went through all the folders one by one and didn't bother categorizing them lol), copy + pasted all of the textures found from "Theta HD 1_2", replaced all the other files, installed it again via DAO Mod Manager (or you can just drop the newly created folder into your override folder), and it worked!!

I'm not entirely sure if it fully worked tho, as I'm just starting another playthrough with these mods installed.

Well, combining Retexturing DAO and Theta HD right now, and that doesn't really look good for starters, considering, I haven't it even installed yet - 991 files, draging in the Modmanager freezes the cursor for a couple of seconds, and now that I droped them in, it just says "not responding" X"D But heeeey, now a couple of minutes later, it seems to have copied the files. Really anxious to see this product of sadistic texture overhaul inbred in work ^^"

I added the files to the override folder and now it crashes the game everytime it tries to load! Thanks for breaking my game

The f*#@ did you expect using a mod that hasn't been updated since 2013?

Hey, fabulous work. This mod is absolutely stellar. Really appreciate that this brings some much-needed consistency to textures rather than making them 4k and out of place lmao. One thing that I'm curious about, though. Loghain's tent (loghain_tent_small) was changed from it's original green and gold pattern to being the same beige and brown backgammon-board-esque pattern and color as the p_tent_small texture? Was that intentional?

Same with me, not just the tent, but a few more places I could see decolorization/shimmering lights when viewed from different angles. Hope someone sees to it and helps us!

Why don't I have a folder called Override in my Core Folder?

If you're on the steam version it only exists if you go through whatever drive your OS is on then Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core, and it should be there. The Dragon Age folder only appears there after you launch to the main menu once.

A very noticeable improvement in landscape, arms and armor, but I find there is a strange bug where blue eyes turn to black, glassy orbs. Creepy!  This was due to graphics detail setting being on Low, never mind. Love the look of everything, thank you.
