Cant add items from Return to Ostagar but am able to add items from normal Origins??? I need help please the stuff i need to spawn is from RTO because the quest bugged out for me ;( and the key to cailans chest didnt spawn in the rubble. Tried space before and after and just after, tried adding .uti and always put the quantity so far nothing has worked.
I can't get anything to show up in my inventory either, no matter how I do it, space either side, no space, space one side, space the other. It says "Success" but does nothing. Anyone have any idea where I went wrong?
True "Success" is accompanied by a small sound; I use headphones, so it's easier to hear. The visual cue -"Success"- without the audio, is no real success.
I have also tried to use this mod and no matter what I do nothing appears in my inventory. I get the "success" and then nothing. I've tried with and without material modifiers and I get nothing.
I'm not 100% sure I installed/placed this correctly, as I haven't fully tested it. I'll have look into the items the author specifically mentions not being in the original list to confirm.
Anyway... I downloaded the original "additem script" (this guy) here on the Nexus, and had to put ".uti" at the end of the line. For example, I created a Spellward Amulet by typing "runscript additem gen_im_acc_amu_spl.uti 1"
yeah adding the .uti and the amount you want at the end worked for me, it's strange since this mod was supposed to remove the .uti thing if I read the description right. But thank you, this worked for me.
I have tried to install this mod as directed, but when I try to run it I get response of "failed no such script". I tried several things. I created the files where the instruction said to put the mod ("My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override"). I put the files into my usual overwrite folder ("L:\steam\SteamApps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\overwrite"). neither worked.
Alright, so I tried the AddItem Script - Console and it wasn't working. Now for the improved one this is working like a charm (ultimate version) this is how i'm doing : (of course d'ont write [space] just press it lol)
this might be my autistic brain but your file names are a bit confusing as i got additem script but if i look at the name of your files the discription gives the other additem
If I'm using the Vortex mod manager, how do I enable the developer console? The options in the wiki don't work, I don't have the files they tell me to edit. But the shortcut method works. Problem is, if I launch from the shortcut, it seems as though my mods don't load. But if I run it from Vortex, I can't launch using the shortcut. I've looked all over the Vortex gui for an option to launch using a shortcut
imo vortex sucks for trying to mod DAO, i use DAO mod manager and it works great man :) theres a vid on i think CallMeFrosty's channel that really helped me set up modding
This mod went from working perfectly for me, to only working to spawn mod armors im getting the same success but no item as everyone else seems to be getting, even though the mod used to work just fine, i grabbed health pots and poisons just a few days ago.
Does anyone know how to run this for people with the EA app? I can't get the console to show up, and I've tried every option available on the wiki. I don't have the game on origin or steam, so I can't go into the advanced launch settings, I don't have an actual launcher file since it runs through the EA app, so that's a no go, and the shortcut trick doesn't seem to work despite the space before the enable dev console thing.
Dont't know if you got a response but on the EA app go to the game and press manage then view properties. inside the box that says advanced launch items put -enabledeveloperconsole
Why is that true? Can we fix this? I'm trying to play awakening, but can't add the items, despite them being listed in the mod? It doesn't make any sense.
I'd swear this reminds me of the guy on Fallout 4 mods who always said the exact same thing. "LL please?"....... Name doesn't match, but spamming dozens of mods with the exact same message does - to a T.

Hope this helps!

What might I have done wrong?

"However, regardless of the version of the additem mods, Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening items cannot be added, as well as its plot items."

Adding base game items works just fine.
