Sadly after server shut down mod doesn't work. good mod though

Worked for me. I just used it.

How did you install it? I can not figure it out at all. I followed the directions from the post 2 post below and the Updater just keeps opening the files and finding nothing.
Nvm I got it. -
thanks for not elaborating on how you "got it" lol
-
I just simply put it DAO-Modmanager and installed it.
But alternatively, you can also rename the file so the ending is not "dazip" but "zip", and then you can extract the file yourself like a normal zip file and manually copy and paste the files where they need to be, but it's much more convoluted that way. -
You don`t need to rename it. Every .dazip can be extracted like normal .zip .

this is probably one of my favorite practical mods for dao. with the respec mod some areas of it become redundant, but it more than makes up for it in providing even the specializations that the respec mod can't. I highly appreciate this mod and thank you so much for making it! as someone who doesn't care much for unlocking certain parts of any game (purely based on my own gaming preferences and what I want from the gameplay experience), this was a welcome relief

Change the rar file in the end of the file name ,PHUnlockSpecials-316.dazip.zip make it too this > PHUnlockSpecials-316.dazip.dazip
then open it with your daupdater.
make sure you put the rar file in a easy access map where you can change the name and searce it with your daupdater.exe -
Works with Nexus Mod Manager. I didn't have to mess with any files or folders. Just download it and enable it.

Beat this game countless times on Xbox 360 and just got it for my PC. Forgot you had to unlock all the specializations and wasn't about to waste that time again haha
you da real mvp -
sorry if this is already mentioned, but for those that are still stuck, I used daupdater.
I download it as in winrar/zip file.
download the file. make sure your zip folders/icons shows extensions(erf, zip, dazip, etc). If not, http://www.mediacollege.com/microsoft/windows/extension-change.html
Don't need to open up the file. you need "PHUnlockSpecials-316" as a whole thing.
It be easier to drag it to desktop so you can drag it to the daupdater. your zip files should show the extensions if you've done the above, the zip file that you downloaded in your downloads folder(or if you drag it to the desktop) should show something like...PHUnlockSpecials-316.zip (yes, with the .zip behind it)
rename it by simply add "da" after the period OR something like this... PHUnlockSpecials-316.dazip
popup saying something like it cannot be readable or something. It's just saying it wouldn't show the stuff in there like it was in zip. click yes.
open up daupdater. drag the PHUnlockSpecials-316.dazip into the daupdater and install it. -
Does not unlock specs in Awakening? I'm not sure if it's supposed to but I seem to have some glitch with the manuals not working so I was hoping this mod would unlock them.

After I download this, it doesn't save as a .rar or .dazip, it just saves in a folder called "Contents" that I can't do anything with. All that's in the "Contents" folder is a file called phUnlockSpecials_package.erf ... How do I instill this into my game? Thanks for any help! It's much appreciated.

You might not see this or have found a solution since but, in case anyone else needs it, here's the solution: Make sure file name extensions are visible (in Windows 8 and 10 click View at the top of the window of the folder you saved the mod). Right-click and open properties and then change the extension from .zip to .dazip. That should be all you need to do!

Fantastic, thank you!
