I did this mod because one of the things this game does (among other things) is force generic template builds. If you want your main character to be an Arcane Warrior, well, you're forced to work with ONLY sustainable spells and dual specialize with Blood Mage (to be the most effective, at least). Of course, that build is very powerful-- especially if planned ahead-- but you will be pigeonholed, and although it may be a fair trade, its not long enough of a game to really make me feel like I'd get to taste all the different possibilities.

Having said that, for those of us who don't want to play the obvious builds and still want some leeway with the other three-dozen or so spells, this mod will make Combat Magic (the main Arcane Warrior spell) cost only 25 upkeep and 25% fatigue (half the cost of the original spell [it didn't mention it, but yes, it also had a 50 upkeep with the 50% fatigue]), making it a viable 2nd to any of the mage specializations (and not for just the massive armor this time!) while hopefully giving players the chance to change things around a bit. Maybe a few Crushing Prisons, Chain Lightnings, or Fireballs :)
