    Can someone please help!

DAO is installing the dazip without issue, but all override mods are not showing up in-game at all. I have zero idea how to configure the xml file once it has been right-clicked and labelled as installed. Nothing is showing in game for cosmetics. I'm getting so frustrated lol.

Just purchased the Origins Ultimate Edition and am trying to use this mod manager but when I click on the DAO-Modmanager.exe, it tells me it could not find a part of the path.  It is looking for mod/override.  Do i need to install the manager in a different folder than the desktop?  DO I have to point it to a specific folder.  If I click on "ok" enough it eventually comes up.  How can I fix this so the manager comes up without the error message?  I should add I had the EA version but uninstalled it after I purchased the three from Steam.  Also Nexus is indicating I have several mods already downloaded but I think this is just historical as I cannot find them on my PC.

I installed the mod manager, but no matter what I do it won't open on my computer.  I don't get an error message or anything.  Anyone else have this issue?  I realize that this hasn't been updated since 2010 lol so might not have a fix.

I downloaded the Mod Manager but every time I try to launch it from the ".exe", I get a message saying, "An error occurred while reading the Addon.xml - could not find file" The file is supposed to be located in the settings but upon looking I guess I couldn't find it. And last time I downloaded this mod manager the error didn't occur, I tried to locate the file anywhere in my system but alas, no luck. I'm just curious what the fix is because this Mod Manager is amazing. I had to redownload because my HDD truly became spinning rust lol and I had to replace it. Anyway, I hope I provided enough information for it to be resolved. Thank you!

      addIns.xml will be located in the game's Settings folder. i.e., \Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings.

I just got a new computer and downloaded the mod manager and it doesn't open. I have the 7zip and it just flashes and that is it. It doesn't extract any files from the mod manager anywhere. How do I get it to work?

You need 7-zip utility (google it and download the correct version for your operating system: either 32-bit or 64-bit).
Install 7-zip. Once installed you can right-click on the 7-zip file of the mod you downloaded and you can choose to extract. Now you sould be able to access the extracted folder and run the app within.

Every time I try to install a mod, instead of going to this mod manager it goes to ME3 Tweaks. ME3 Tweaks pops up saying that opening the other mod manager will fix it but it doesn't work. How do I get it to work?

So, I tried to download this mod manager and the only thing in my downloads folder is a file that says DAO-Modmanager_1_9d-277.7z It's not a zip folder, it's just a file that opens in notepad with some lettering. What am I doing wrong?

The extension .7z means it is a 7-zip archive; you need 7-zip to extract it. Just google 7-zip -it's freeware.
If oyu decide to install it: after installation you can right-click on any 7-zip file and then choose to extract -easy peasy.

I love this mod! I have used it for years! It has never given me one bit of trouble, ever! So, imagine my surprise when the one I have been using for my dazips for months just stopped working properly, (big sigh). I am lost and a few of my mods depend upon this mod. I have no other way to use them. It started when my mods didn't show up in it and I was pretty sure I had put it in, so I dropped in another of the same one to see if I got the message back that it was already installed. No message came. I tried a couple of DAzips to see if they all were the same and none of them were installed. Can you please help? Why would it suddenly stop working. I have downloaded another one and the same results.

All DAZIP mods should be installed directly through the DAupdater in your dragon age folder (Dragon Age -> Bin_Ship -> DAupdater.exe) Drag individual files in and install them directly - DAzip files should always be installed this way, using alternative methods can cause issues

The only mods that cannot be downloaded this way are non-DAzip file mods (which is where the mod manager comes in as it acts as an override folder)

      I hope this helps!

For the love of god, follow Novasaurr's advice. For some reason, some of the more complex mods like new quests, areas, or even new modules for the game don't work correctly if you install them with anything that isn't DAUpdater. You get problematic quests, errors, triggers not triggering, and such if you install them in any other way. Just for the sake of having the most stable modded experience do it with DAUpdater, it will also correctly auto-edit your AddIns.xml file. DAO-Modmanager is a great tool to keep track of override mods, though.

I've downloaded this but I can't get it to work. My computer keeps renaming it the ME3 Tweaks Mod Manager. It has none of my mods for ME, and won't take any Mods from this. Am I doing something wrong, or is the mod itself screwy?
