This simple Mod changes the spells for mages in the game a little by reducing the cooldowns of all sustained abilities to 5 seconds and a lot of activated ones as well.
For example:
Heal - now 30 seconds cd (used to be 40)
Winters Grasp - now 15 seconds cd (used to be 20)
Walking Bomb - 15 seconds cd (used to be 30)
All sustained abilities (including Blood magic and Cleansing Aura) - 5 seconds cd
and so on...
Also you should remember that most of the cooldown reductions are gained with the specializations. So if you dont specialize your spells, you will still have the same cooldown
as before with most spells.
I as well changed Blood magic quite considerably. Sacrifice now has a 10 seconds cooldown, Grave Robber 15 seconds and the aoe wound (Hemorrhage) lasts longer if it hits and has a lower cooldown as well.
The thing i hated most though, was the blood control spell since it only lasted for 10 seconds... Now it lasts 30 with a 25 seconds cooldown.
So you can keep 1 enemy controlled for the entire fight, as a blood mage should be. This makes the spell finally useful and blood magic as powerful as its supposed to be
(afterall its supposed to be much stronger then any other mage ability, hence the fear towards mages who practice it).
Installation:
To install the file simply drag-drop it in your "C:\Users\xxx\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\packages\core\override" folder.
No need to start a new game since it simply changes the values for all spells in it.

PS: After a Question from Escobear, I took the liberty of using Cupressi's "Cooldown Tweaks" mod and combining only the blood mage changes from my file with his own. That way you can have his data (since he also changed the skills of other classes) plus my blood magic changes in one file.
All credit for the "Cooldown Tweaks" mod goes to Cupressi (exept for the blood magic part in this version).
