Does anyone know how the channels of these tattoos can be merged so everything is visible on a single channel?

I renamed the texture from this mod to uh_tat_ed1_0t.dds (Dalish) so I could have it in character creation, but only one half of it is showing. These tats show their parts on different channels and that is why I can only have a part of it on my character's face.

I'm not skilled enough with GIMP to mess with the texture, but if anyone knows how to make those channels visible as a single tattoo, please respond.

By putting them in your override folder. Toolset searches your override folder for any cosmetic mod (tattoos, makeup, hair/skin tints, ect), making them accessible in Toolset

I love how these look. But I have run into a problem. These won't appear on the dwarf commoner, when I save a headmorph w/ one of these tattoos and replace a preset with it it replaces the tattoo with one of the in-game brands and puts a tattoo that looks like Zevran's under it (which I dont understand at all). I tried them on the dwarf noble and it worked fine. Is there any way to fix this?

EDIT: OK, so apparently this is a problem for any race that has a tattoo as a default. so the dwarf commoner and dalish

So I've run into a sad problem with this mod and the Dalish.

I made a custom male elf head morph using one of the tattoos, and while it displays correctly for city elves and mages, it doesn't for Dalish, since they use a different, unique tattoo set, so trying to load the head morph results in weirdly overlaid vanilla Dalish tattoos.

Any idea how to work around that or what files I need to tinker with to get it to work?

ETA: I figured out a semi-workaround by renaming the tattoo I was using to one of the vanilla Dalish tattoos, to overwrite it. Now I just have to figure out how to get the mirrored look back again!

Why do you have to make it so hard for other people and why not just put it on the main game or just the character creator.

I know this was poted 2 years ago, but by now a lot of people have learned how to use the toolset properly, and there a BUNCH of tutorials that explain how to use the toolset effectively.

I know this 2 years too late, and you might have the toolset working by now (or you're not playing the game anymore ), but if you have the problem with the toolset that it can't connect to the database, I found this to be a perfect solution:

The long comment by RobinLongstride describing the solution: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/8/index/424078/3

A toolset wiki page that has the 2 sections needed to be performed in the above solution: http://social.bioware.com/wiki/datoolset/index.php/Unable_to_connect_to_the_database

And a toolset wiki page that is connected with the "Full Manual Install" section in the above wiki page: http://social.bioware.com/wiki/datoolset/index.php/Manual_database_installation

Hope that helps, if you still need it after all this time. If not, somebody else might find a use for it.

Is there any chance that you may put them in a chargenfolder? Because I have just no idea how the toolset works and I really love these tattoos!

Adding these tattoos and other textures like eyes/beards/etc. from many other mods that can't just be added to the ingame character Creator, isn't TOO difficult. Basically the end result is a Head preset that uses the desired tattoo, and is placed on a Head Base of your choice (Human Male, or Dwarven Female, for example).
Since I don't have time, I can't describe the whole process in detail, but there are A LOT of step-by-step tutorials on how to add a Custom Head Preset into the Character Creator on the net. Just search for "dragon age origins how to add a custom head morph/preset".
