I'm not a native speaker - so my english will get weird at times.
Count on it.
I made these alterations to the game for myself and decided to share, because I do like the outcome well enough and think maybe someone else might also like it.
I do not take any responsibility if problems occur while using this mod.
Although I can't even imagine what one must do to get big bad terrifying problems with a couple of utc.-files...
Don't lick lampposts in winter!

1. -When meeting Teyrn Bryce Cousland of Highever for the first time, one of the kingdom's mostpowerful, important nobles, standing in his proud castle's great hall, clad in a ridiculous orange pyjama more suiting the jester than a mighty lord, I couldn't avoid getting the impression that something obviously was amiss...

Playing along, I found more and more issues like that:
- numerous NPC's provided with either aesthetically or logically (or both in some cases) unfitting clothes and/or equipment
- ever wondered why all the guards in the epilogue are wearing Ancient Elven Helmets? Those antique artifacts that are even rarely seen among the Dalish elves?
- guards in full armor, their hands clad in gauntlets, supposed to be gambling...?
Hard time dealing the cards, eh?
- a lot of the vanilla human NPC's wore/wear too colorful/too ornate outfits, concerning the clothing style and last but not least concerning the conditions they're living under

Totally atmosphere-breaking experience - at least for ME!

Of course this is a matter of personal taste - and I've no illusions this modification will meet everyone's tastes. But if you feel the same way and want those things changed - then this might be the mod for you!
To achieve my goal of making things more logical/aesthetical, I'm using the toolset to revise the inventories of a (growing) number of selected NPC's.
Where I find it fitting, this mod:
- changes clothes, armor
- adds or partially adds armor, helmets
- removes, partially removes or replaces other helmets and armor
- replaces unfitting weapons and shields with more fitting ones
etc.

2. -This package contains a number of utc.-files, changing the equipment of some of the NPC's in various areas of the game.

3. -This mod does NOT require additional mods to work correctly.

I've made a mod similar to this one, which serves the same general purpose, but only covers the Dalish Elves. If you want it - get it here:

4. -To install, just unpack the archive and copy its contents into the usual override.
To uninstall, simply delete the utc. files.
It's as easy as this.

Done and enjoy!

6. -Kudos and thanks to:
Marlboro Man for his invaluable instructions on how to fix the annoying "white scalp bug"!
danscott84 - Without you I'd probably never have figured out how to properly export .utc files! You helped me see beyond my own stupidity... ;)
