Complete Description & Modifications:

There is no level restriction on the robes and there are some known bugs (read below) so it is up to you to restrain yourself from using it during the first 10 levels, during which the robes are way too powerful.

Use "bin_ship/daupdater.exe" from your Dragon Age: Origins installation directory to install downloadable content. Item will appear in your inventory. You can check your DLC tab on the main screen to ensure the file was installed.
