This tutorial assumes that you have the toolset and can find your way around it easily enough. And it also assumes that you have the console enabled. Here's a link if you don't already have it enabled (http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Console)
I recommend "merging" Awakening's items into Origins, and I also recommend mods like Improved Atmosphere, Swords of Urukethek, Elvhenan Weapons, and Underworld Armory, because they give you new models to add your own stats to (those are not my mods, I'm not trying to take credit for them).
