OK, so I'm trying the modules. If anyone wonders - this one emulates the MMO style of a game. :)
You will get quests from NPCs without personalities, see some 'AFK people' or 'chatting players' etc. etc. It's like a parody of MMO.
Very cool idea, because of funny meta humor. I'm a bit shitty in a combat since I didn't played in ages or didn't focused on tactics anyway, so this module is a great way to improve myself.
I'm after first fight (Redcliffe-night XD) and I'm definitely gonna come back to it. (I'm playing on easy tho 0.0, it's very hard).
Finished this on Nightmare in about 6:30 hours, would not recommend.
The bosses reuse the same gimmick of massive regeneration and burst, as well as instakilling you if you don't play by the rules of the encounter, this leads to very stringent gameplay that forces you to play a certain way and leaves very little room for expression.
Story tries hard to be meta and is very uninteresting as a result, having you reunite with friends to play through "Dragon Age: Online" before the servers shut down. All of said friends are boring caricatures of what an MMO player is supposed to be.
Honestly a waste of time, don't put yourself through this mess.
I'm having a bit of a problem... when I kill the Juggernaut, my quest log doesn't update, so I'm unable to go to The Pearl. Is there any console code I can enter to update it so I can continue on? (I've killed Vileshadow in the Brecilian Forest already, so that's not the issue.)
EDITED: Nevermind, it seemed to be conflicting with another mod I had installed. I turned it off, and now things are working fine.
Beat it on nightmare mode took me 12+ hours a truly challenge indeed. Me : Yeah ! Duncan's dead now let's see the loot. Me : wut, why did mobs won't go away already oh well let's just idly wait Rage(blend with mobs) exploded at point blank range Survivor : Vic with 80+ hp s#*! JUST GOT REAL
Wow, really great mod, awsome puns and ton of challenge in the bosses, wiped like 20 times on Jowan, wasnt makin the enrage timer between the adds and shades Really enjoyed it, it was rather creepy sometimes tho Shiva turned out to be a little nutty
My only complaint is that non-plot companion conversations sometimes happen when characters are off-screen, and I'd spin the camera around and notice that I'd missed half of what they were saying.
For non-MMO players struggling with the difficulty, my best (non-spoiler) advice is that you really have to focus your fire. Even if you play on a lower difficulty setting and have never had to worry about it before, for this campaign every ally needs "Enemy -Target of - the tank - (attack or ability)". Set the tank to aggressive (you can always hit "H" to keep him from running off) so he always has a target, with Threaten on and "Enemy - Target at Range - Short - Taunt".
I just downloaded this mod and I was wondering if there is a way to tailor the difficulty setting for "non-power gamer mmo warrior" levels? I once was a hard-core power-gaming madman in my youth but not so much now as I've nothing to prove anymore as far as my gaming prowess is concerned, instead I find that difficulty level rather tedious and too time consuming.
Thanks in advance.
BTW: Just to clarify, I would like to tailor the difficulty using the toolset.
It took me 6 hours 41 minutes to beat this (but it felt way longer). Amazing...it never took me this long to beat a stand-alone module (except Awakenings). It took me about 25 hours to beat Origins.
This was really, really fun too. Although, the fights were EXTREMELY hard. I had to cheat using "runscript killallhostiles" a bunch of times on bosses. And I was playing on easy. This didn't bother me too much though.
Even if you've never played World of Warcraft, this is really fun. However, you might not understand some puns.
I didn't even run into any bugs except that one mage guy. He kept showing up in Ostagar (didn't really affect anything). I've read older posts (in 2010) about bugs, but you've definitely fixed all of them. Like I said, I didn't encounter any of them.
Honestly, I liked this more than Origins. I'm not sure why this doesn't have 5,000 endorsements. This is a flawless mod and this would be the #1 mod I'd recommend if I made a list of recommended mods.
Three thumbs up!
Also, if you haven't played this yet/just started, don't worry about the store prices. By the middle of the game, you'll have way more than enough to buy anything.

Don't really know why im posting this, but sounds of the comments and everything made it feel neccesary.
