* Description *

This mod simply gives you the option of changing the dog companions appearance.
You can choose from the following;
Black Mabari
White Mabari
Wolf
Black Wolf
White Wolf
Blight Wolf
Witherfang

* Installation *

These are instructions for users running Windows XP.
I've never used Vista or Windows 7, and am unsure if the override folder will be in the same location when using either of those operating systems.

-Dog to Wolf-
Copy the folder "DogReplacer-Wolf" to
C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

-Dog to Blight Wolf-
Copy the folder "DogReplacer-BlightWolf" to
C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

-Dog to Witherfang-
Copy the folder "DogReplacer-Witherfang" to
C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

-Black Dog-
Copy the folder "DogReplacer-BlackMabari" to
C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

-White Dog-
Copy the folder "DogReplacer-WhiteMabari" to
C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

-Black Wolf Retexture-
Copy the folder "BlackWolf" to
C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

-White Wolf Retexture-
Copy the folder "WhiteWolf" to
C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

For example, if I wanted to replace the dog with a black Wolf, I'd copy both "DogReplacer-Wolf" and "BlackWolf" to my override folder.
Keep in mind that you cannot use more than one of the replacers and/or retextures at a time.

Note: If you are using a save where you already have the dog in your party and you want to switch him to one of the Wolves, you'll also need to use the console.
Load your save, select the dog, then open the console and enter "runscript appearance xx", without the quotes.
Replace xx in the above with one of the following;
For a Wolf, 49
For a Blight Wolf, 74
For Witherfang, 53
If you're starting a new game, don't have the dog yet, or you're planning on using either the black or white dog replacer, this is unnecessary.

* Uninstallation *

To remove any of the replacers and/or retextures, simply locate the folder(s) you copied to your override directory and delete it/them.

If you've made a save while you were using one of the dog-to-Wolf replacers, you'll need to use the console after deleting the aforementioned folder.
Load your save, select the dog, open the console, and enter "runscript appearance 35", without the quotes.

* Known Issues *

In order to resolve the Warpaint issue with the replacers, I had to render it invisible when used.
This means that all enemy/neutral dogs will now revert to their base texture, which is normally white but if you're using the black dog replacer they will be black.

The black and white Wolf retextures will affect ALL normal Wolves in the game, but not Blight Wolves or Witherfang.
