If you take them both with you, Anders will tell you that he knows where some Grey Wardens might be and will give you the option to try to save her. You'll lose her from your party either way, but if you save her, you'll get letters from her at the estate and you'll see her a few times during your exploits. And during your final quest she'll offer to join you again.
I'm not sure if she comes back if you side with the templars, I haven't tried that yet. But when you side with the mages, she finds you on your way to the Gallows. It was kinda cool when I got her back, cause she had all these unassigned points from all the levels I gained after I lost her. I just boosted up her magic and willpower. Then I looked at her spells and picked out what I wanted. It was like picking out the best candy from the basket on Halloween. =D After I went into her tactics and made sure that she would use every spell that she had available somehow, she was epic.
Yep Anders took a map, on this map he knows where the grey wardens are. And they are in the deep roads. If Anders is there Bethany/Carver will become a Grey Warden.

But yes if you sided with the templars she will be confused, but will still support you. "I'm not a grey warden, I'm your sister." ^_^

Pottum, I assume from your comment that if you take both Betany and Anders then he can save her? Can you confirm plz?
