About this image

Tamsin is the name I use for my City Elf Warrior (my City Elf Rogue is called Tanith; they come from the same face template)

SOME PLOT SPOILERS BELOW:

Sadly it is my personal opinion that the City Elf story is lacking; the experience during the Origin story is so incredibly traumatic, that my Elf has a profound resentment toward humans. Most party members seem to be utterly devoid of empathy towards her personal -and racial- plight; they only respond with indignation and disproval towards her hostile behaviour, without any consideration for her personal motivations, nor for her place in the world.

The only human she likes -loves- is Morrigan; aside from the witch's beauty, she feels some sort of kinship with Flemeth's daughter -they have similar backgrounds of insular upbringing, seen as inferior and treated thusly. They are reviled by pretty much everyone.

Reactions from Bann Teagan and Mayor Murdock (she does not disclose to them that she's a Grey Warden) seem to reaffirm that elves are considered to be third-rate citizens.

When Zevran becomes available as a team mate, Leliana is pushed to the sidelines; the bard's religious views clash with Tamsin's own experience with the Chantry -the Mother who came to marry Soris and Valora and Tamsin and Nelaros, didn't do anything to rouse some aid for the abductees.

Sten is recruited, but his philosophic murmurs seem to be too cumbersome for Tamsin to navigate -she does not have the patience to interpret Sten's words and make some sense of them.

Alistair also dislikes Tamsin for her belligerence and impatient responses; she in turn dislikes him as well.

So, her little fellowship is generally comprised of Morrigan, Dog or Oghren and Zevran.

Once Morrigan's Blood Magic reaches the third tier, she is quite capable in crowd control; Dog is conditioned to guard Morrigan -and Zevran targets the immediate enemies of Dog. Leaving Tamsin to fight enemies without her teammates getting in her way (I hate it when that happens).

Resentful, aggressive, abrasive and sensitive to anti-elf sentiments, she only does quests that will either net her resources in whatever form, or that will create a larger number of people joining her armies. So Dagna is ignored, as is Brother Burkel.
She sides with Zathrian against the werewolves, but when the opportunity presents itself, she eliminates the Dalish Keeper in favor of his apprentice.

When Wynne starts threatening Tamsin during Broken Circle, Tamsin counter threats and makes sure the old biddy is removed -permanently. So she can then go about her business without the moral objections and Chantry propaganda from Wynne.

She agrees to the Dark Ritual -hoping that Morrigan will change her mind and decide to stay with the Warden.
