About this image

'Stop' cried Maralah falling to her knees.
'What's wrong' asked Alistair helping her up.
'Can't you hear the voices' -(Mara)
'No' they all replied.
'So many voices calling out in pain and despair, in joy and love, in hope it's overwhelming' -(Mara)
'You should go back to camp and let us continue'-(Al)
'I don't think that will work. I need to go into that Temple. I just don't know if I can.' -(Mara)
'I can help you' said Morrigan.
'Oh this I'd like to see.'-(Al)
'Please Alistair let Morrigan explain' -(Mara)
'I have these rings of Flemeth that will link us mentally. So what you feel I will feel, so I can take away voices and leave you mind clear'-(Morr)
'I promised Flemeth you would be safe. I can't cause you to suffer my pain' -(Mara)
'Maralah I will be alright as I will just be blocking these voices and besides I will also get to feel any pleasurable feeling as well. If you could leave Sten to watch over me and I suggest taking a mage so that will be Wynne with you. If you don't spend all day admiring the stonework I would be grateful' -(Morr)
'I'm not sure about this Maralah can we trust her. What if these ring a way to control you' -(Al)
'I trust Morrigan she's my friend and i need to go in. So unless you have a better option this matter is closed' -said Maralah walking away.

'Alistair don't keep pushing Maralah to chose between you and Morrigan' said Leliana as they watch the other set a temporary camp.
'But Morrigan is evil why cant she see it' -(Al)
'Alistair try looking at it from Maralah point of view and not as an ex Templar. Morrigan supplies her with the tonics to help heal her throat, potions that allow her a peaceful night's sleep. Maralah is duty bound to protect Morrigan even from you as she is to protect you from Morrigan. She loves both of you. You're the founding members of this her new Clan. So if you keep pushing you will force her to chose. She will be a Grey Warden above all else but i doubt she will have a strength left to see this thru to the bitter end. We can both watch out for her and guard against any betrayal' -(Leli)

'Maralah I must warn you of the risks of these rings. Once we put them on only the death of one will allow the other its removal. If that death is violent a surge of magical energy may cause the other ring to explode. So combat should be avoid until we both are attuned to the other combat thoughts. These rings also transfer small bonus to resistance and recovery among other things. I don't know what exactly as normally its two mages who exchange them' -(Morr)
'Right I will avoid the Dragon and you must promise not to go to the toilet ' said Maralah with a wink and a smile putting on the ring.

Absolutely fascinating. Love the attention to detail, particularly with the rings, and the dialogue. The Alistair/Morrigan dynamic and Maralah's character come through strongly and this is only the second I've read

I have an ending but it keeps evolving. I don't have all the storylines work out yet. Also the sad bits are getting to me a little.
