BLACK POWDER RED EARTH
A Door Kickers 2 Mod

DESCRIPTION
Black Powder Red Earth introduces the lore and content of its expansive comic series and tabletop game to Door Kickers 2.
The intention is an accurate and immersive depiction of the lore by combining new units, missions, visuals, audio and other content.
While being comparably restrictive in available weapons and gear, the aim is to have a small but meaningful selection that stays true to the lore.
The initial release (1.0) focuses on Crisis Troop Ember, where the player directs a small unit kill team in pitched close combat infantry battles in the failed State of Awbari.
INSTALLATION
NOTE! Due to its complexity, my mod is NOT compatible with most other mods.
Drop the "Black Powder Red Earth" folder into your "Door Kickers 2\mods" folder.
Vortex also supported.
KEY FEATURES
THE FAILED STATE OF AWBARI
Mired in a civil war launched by the assassination of the nations dictator, Awbari is being torn apart by the "unity" government's national army
and violent Jihadist groups, both bent on exploiting the region's natural resources for their own gain.
With neighboring states propping up both the jihadists and the military, the war has no end in sight.
Every day the fighting continues. Bombings. Drone strikes. Sectarian violence. Absolute chaos.
CRISIS TROOP EMBER
An enhanced capabilities kinetic force, Ember specializes in combining low signature infantry maneuver with drones to find, fix and finish targets.
Comprised entirely of Adjuncts provided by Awbari's Ministers of the Interior by private military contractor Cold Harbor, Ember small unit kill teams hunt
the battle space in non-standard uniforms equipped with the latest generation of PPE, individual observation equipment, and weapon systems.
TEAM LEAD
Final execution authority at team level and responsible for tactical employment of their four-man troop element.
Special Equipment: Switchblade UAV Strike Capability.
ASSAULT
The workhorse of the assault troop, the assaulter maintains proficiency with all issued weapons and equipment.
Special Equipment: Thermobaric grenades.
COMMUNICATIONS (COMMO)
Responsible for establishing and maintaining encrypted communications with command at all times.
Commos can wear other hats as needed and will assist all other team members with collateral duties as the situation dictates.
Special Equipment: Access to the FN M249 BLK machine gun and M72E10 LAW.
BREACHER
Breachers employ special purpose breaching charges required during operations.
Special Equipment: Breaching charges and lockpick.
THE SHADOW EMIRATE
A Salafist political movement and military organization, the Islamic Emirate of Awbari (called daesh by opposing locals), the Shadow Emirate
now builds a parallel state that defies the authority of the unity government. Augmented by elite enablers from the Aayari Network,
terror/smuggling network harbored by the neigboring Republic of Qasra, Shadow emirate fighters are filled with resolve and will to conduct
unspeakable acts in the name of establishing a Caliphate.
CAMPAIGN
Take command over Crisis Troop Ember and lead your kill team through a set of ruthless missions against the Shadow Emirate in Awbari.
NEW WEAPONS & EQUIPMENT
Wreak havoc with Ember's signature weapons, from their Cold Harbor issued custom Glock 45, to the BCM Recce 9" carbine and FN M249 BLK - both chambered in .300 AAC Blackout with ammunition from Barnes and Lehigh Defense to make sure whoever is on the receiving end of your hatred really gets your message. This highly lethal arsenal is expanded by thermobaric grenades to clear out whole rooms and should atmospherics really degrade to the point of no return, call in a Switchblade drone strike to finish what you started.
NEW GUI
Extensive GUI rework to bring as much of the gritty and iconic atmosphere BPRE theme into Door Kickers.
