Changes the number of weapon points you need to upgrade your guns.

Permissions and credits
I have often thought that some weapon upgrades were not worth the number of points you needed and so that’s why I made this mod. With these different requirements, you will have fully upgraded all of your guns by about ½ to ¾ of the campaign and have mastered some of them too. The way I
changed the requirements are :

1 point = useless or might as well not be there
3 points = useful but not essential
6 points = essential
 
I think this kind of thing is very personal to each player and so if you want to change any of these values, see the instructions below :
 
1) Open the zip file
2) Go to “gameresources\generated\decls\perkgroups\perkgroups\weapons”
3) Open the .decl file you want to edit with ‘notepad’, e.g. ‘shotgun.decl’
4) Find the line ‘ modUpgradeCost = { ’
5) Change the numbers next to the items, e.g. ‘item[0] = 3;’

(You can see which weapon mod this changes by looking up in the text file, e.g. above the first ‘modUpgradeCost’ for ‘shotgun.decl’ are details for ‘pop_rocket’ – which is, of course, for the sticky bombs. I have also added notes to tell you which upgrade is which, e.g. the first ‘modUpgradeCost’ for ‘shotgun.decl’ has two upgrades and they are as follows :

‘ item[0] = 3; // faster recharge ’
‘ item[1] = 3; // bigger boom - orig = 6 ’

Everything past the ‘ // ‘ are my comments.
Make sure you include ‘ ; ’ after the number when you have changed it.)
