About this mod

Adjusts the number of bonus projectiles that the Unmaykr fires and the angle spacing between them. Also edits AI damage mitigation the projectile's splash damage.

Permissions and credits
The vanilla Unmaykr works by firing a main projectile, with 1 more bonus projectile that's spaced 3° apart and mirrored. With each subsequent shot, another bonus projectile is added, also another 3° apart and mirrored. This goes up to a max of 3 shots, and it resets after that. Basically when you hold down the trigger, the projectile count will go like this: 3 -> 6 -> 9, and then back to 3, until you run out of ammo or release the trigger. This mod will adjust the number of bonus projectiles per shot, the amount of shots that add bonus projectiles, and the angle spacing between them.

Vanilla Modified:
This version is meant to be in the spirit of the vanilla Unmaykr. The first shot will fire three projectiles in a tight cluster, 0.25° apart from each other. Subsequent shots will add 1 bonus projectile, 3° apart and mirrored, just like the vanilla Unmaykr. This will go up to 7 shots, up to a total of 15 projectiles, covering a 36° cone in front of you. For comparison, the vanilla Unmaykr goes up to 3 shots with an 18° cone.

Stats
  • Consumes 1 BFG Plasma/shot
  • Added 50 splash damage in a 2m radius per projectile
  • Removed damage mitigation for the Marauder, Gladiator, Khan Maykr, and Icon of Sin

Focused Fire:

In this version, I've changed the Unmaykr from firing an increasing number of projectiles in a spread pattern, to firing a fixed number of projectiles in a super tight cluster to simulate a single beam. Each pull of the trigger will fire 4 bonus projectiles, 0.05° apart from each other, mirrored, for a total of total of 9 projectiles per shot, covering a 0.4° cone in front of the player.

  • Consumes 4 BFG Plasma/shot
  • No splash damage
  • 50% damage mitigation for the Marauder, Gladiator, Khan Maykr, and Icon of Sin

Notes:
  • Projectile speed was not changed due to a technical restriction. The Unmaykr's projectile travels at 250m/s, which is already the greatest velocity allowed for a projectile. Converting it to a hitscan would remove the ability to have bonus projectiles.
  • Any other stats not mentioned are unchanged from their vanilla values.
