Some parts of the underused weapon buffs mod, such as the combat shotgun's increased fire rate, the heat blast power surge's increased damage, and the mobile turret's fire rate appear unchanged even with this mod installed. If you have the time, could you rectify this issue please. Thanks.
Too bad there is no way of making chainsaw better :/ First fuel cooldown 2x longer, but makes it possible to charge up to 3 fuels by dealing damage to demons. Killing an demon with 1 fuel drops 50% of maximum ammo. Make medium sizes demons like Carcass and prowler to need two fuels, and chainsawing them drop 100% of maximum ammo. 3 Fuel on big enemies, makes it drop 100% of maximum ammo + 5 bfg ammo.
So to get 3 fuels it should be really hard, like almost being empty on all weapons.
Also another mod could give 1 charge to crucible blade after killing 3 super heavy demons.
That would be complete mod set for making all weapons and tools useful.
You could implement those changes if you want. You have my permission to use this mod as a template. This is one of those mods that I don't use but chose to update based on popular demand.
some of those things listed are possible, the ones that aren t are dealing dmg to demons to fuel the chainsaw, and chainsawing super heavies, i can make a mod like that but without the listed impossible ones
Thats great thanks!! Although my feedback in case you ever want to publish it is to increase damage slightly. 3 hits to stagger a zombie seems a bit too much compared to just shoot (just a thought, i really do apreciate you making this).
You can easily change the melee damage values yourself. Extract the zipped folder and go to: gameresources_patch1\generated\decls\damage\damage\player\melee_d5_forward.decl This is the only file in the mod anyways, so you won't have any trouble finding it. Open the melee_d5_forward.decl file with any basic text editor. Change the defaultValue for both maxDamage and minDamage to your liking: maxDamage = { defaultValue = 40; } minDamage = { defaultValue = 40; } Rezip gameresources_patch1 and name the zipped folder whatever you want. Poof, you have now made a mod.
Thanks for the help in the melee, and i found a issue with the mod. I think this wasn't intentional but im able to destroy weak points of possessed demons with the heavy cannon buff both with the missiles and precision bolt (im using the standalone google drive version and the challenge restored mod)
I dig it. This is pretty much how I would want the game to play. I do think the spread on the Micro Missiles may be a bit too much. Plasma Gun, to me, is the star of the mod. It's so much better now. It's actually fun to use. Thanks for the mod
I did reduce the spread of Micro Missiles a little in the most recent update. It's spread was made super high so it wouldn't overlap with the Mobile Turret weapon mod, and be more of a fodder/weakpoint clearer.
I definitely understand why the Spread was as heavy as it was. There was a reason why my chaingun was gathering dust when I got the Micro Missile mastery lmao I like that MM can destroy weakpoints. Clever!
