Stay Home. Make Mods. - Week 1 Wrap-up

  • Comment
Week 1 of Stay Home. Make Mods. concluded on Sunday 12th April and I want to say a huge thank you to all the authors - old and new - who shared mods with the community through this period. We had a whopping 273 mods from 216 authors across 48 games. That was less than 25% of the 1206 mods uploaded during the week, so don't forget to add the "Stay Home. Make Mods." tag to your mods to enter them.

We saw the biggest collections of entries from Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord (18.5%) and Skyrim Special Edition (17.4%) followed by Fallout 4, Skyrim, Monster Hunter: World and Stardew Valley. It's great to see that mod authors for a wide range of games are getting involved.

Highlights

Before I reveal the winners, I'd like to showcase some of the mods you may have missed during Week 1 of the event.

Xorberax's Cut Through EveryoneXorberax - Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Allows weapons to cut through multiple units, while considering armor and weapon types.
If you've been playing Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord this week, there's a very good chance you're already using this mod. "Cut Through Everyone" was the most popular entry by far, with almost twice as many downloads as the next closest mod. It also racked up over 700 endorsements which shows that the community really love this mod!

Ice Wind Spell (U7)Ebediam - Blade & Sorcery

Unlock a powerful new spell! Summon an icy wind that freezes enemies and slows (or completely stops) their movement. Also you can imbue your weapon!
We're still eagerly awaiting U8 of Blade & Sorcery - which will add new spells and make it much easier to create your own custom ones - but while KospY continues to work his magic with the official release, you should definitely give this spell a try. See if you can find creative ways to combine Ice and Lightning to take down multiple enemies at once! In related news, Blade & Sorcery hit 5 million downloads this month and earned a spot on the Nexus Mods homepage, overtaking Witcher 2.

Pandorable's Warrior Women - Pandorable - Skyrim Special Edition

A visual overhaul of Mjoll the Lioness and Uthgerd the Unbroken.
Pandorable delivers another great overhaul to two of the ladies in Skyrim Special Edition and with a mod installer allowing you to select different options, you'll be able to tweak them to suit your own preferences.

Simplified ArcheryWileCoyote68 - Kingdom Come Deliverance

Brought some existing mods together and modified a couples of other values which i personally used for better experience.
The archery mechanics of Kingdom Come Deliverance were one of my personal pet-peeves - especially coming from being a Skyrim stealth archer - so any mod intended to improve on that is always welcome. WileCoyote68 uploaded a whole bunch of mods during the week so be sure to check out their other work.

Moe the VigilanteDuffhause - The Simpsons: Hit & Run

Play as Moe Syzlak and save Springfield from the mafia who are poisoning Springfield's beer supply with nuclear waste
The Simpsons: Hit & Run has a special significance to me, as it was one of my favourite games on the PlayStation 2 when I was younger. Seeing the first mods for it being shared on Nexus Mods during the event did get me a little excited, especially when it's a fully fleshed out level with custom voiced characters and a new story!

You can view all the entries for Week 1 here. Which ones were your favourites?
