About this mod
Ports 50+ changes from DmC:Definitive Edition for Vergil. Changes include improvements to: strike timings, hitstop, movement parameters, damage output, and style points.

You will need FCH823's TFC Installer for UE3. The installation instructions for this mod are also found on the page for the TFC installer as they are identical for any game which utilizes this program.

What does this mod do?
This is the first release in a series of long overdue mods that aim to port as much of the Definitive Edition experience as possible to PC. Vergil's change list is not as lengthy as Dante's or the rest of the game which is why I decided to tackle it first. Eventually, I will release a comprehensive document that goes over every change made, but for this mod page, I'll be keeping it a bit more simple just to get the point across.

GENERAL
- Added an EaseOut ResponseCurve to Vergil's Archetype file for use during Rising Star and Solar Flare's recovery animation
- 'Sprint' perk has been enabled and will activate after 1.5 seconds (this is automatic and does not need to be toggled like other perks). [v1.01]
- Added Doppelganger HUD [v1.01]
- Fixed an issue caused by accidentally leaving in an unintended change from the previous patch. [v1.03]
AERIAL FLUSH
- Adjusted the ActionMovement windows and the DriveDown on Aerial Flush
AERIAL RAVE
- Adjusted the DriveDown window on Aerial Rave 1, 2 and 3
- Reduced the EnemyStepDenial time on Aerial Rave A2. It is now jump cancellable as soon as the strike makes contact to replicate a Jump Cancel sequence from DMC4:SE. [v1.02]
YAMATO COMBOS
- Extended the range on the unsheathed attacks in Yamato Combo A and Yamato Combo B slightly [v1.02]
RAPID SLASH
- Slightly adjusted the capsule change on Rapid Slash which governs when and how long Vergil's collision is altered. [v1.02]
- Rapid Slash now has an extra link that lets you chain it into Rising Star just like 4SE and DMC5. During Rapid Slash, Hold Angel Mode + Melee and Rising Star will proc once you are in range of the enemy. [v1.03].
- GroundReaction of the Rapid Slash explosions changed to Air Lift the further replicate 4SE and also to improve its synergy with the new link. [v1.03]
UPPER SLASH
- Changed the conditions required for Upper Slash (Air) to occur and changed the button event from DVButton_StrongMelee to NTEvent_AutoContinue to prevent the move from cancelling during the S+ rank speedbuff. [v1.01]
LUNAR PHASE
- Adjusted the ActionMovement windows and all 7 DriveDown windows on Lunar Phase
- Adjusted the DriveDown window on Lunar Phase End
RISING STAR
- Retimed both strike windows on Rising Star and added an additional 3rd strike to the end
- Reduced damage output and style points earned on all 3 hits of Rising Star
- Added an AerialReaction to all 3 strikes on Rising Star
- Completely reworked Rising Star and Solar Flare ActionMovement windows and the Launch and Hover windows
- Changed the StrikeVolume of all hits on Rising Star to nerf its effectiveness now that it can be accessed quicker through Rapid Slash. [v1.03]
SOLAR FLARE
- Retimed both strike windows on Solar Flare and added an additional 3rd strike to the end
- Reduced damage output and style points earned on all 3 hits of Solar Flare
- Added an AerialReaction to all 3 strikes on Solar Flare
FLARE
- Created a small cancel window during the base version of Flare. [v1.02]
VOLCANO/ATOMIC
- Reduced the damage output and style points earned on Volcano Level 2 and Atomic
TRICK
- Adjusted the action length of Aerial Trick Down from 1.6 to 1.2 which matches the grounded version. This alleviates the issue where Vergil doesn't land properly after the move is performed
- Completely removed Grounded Trick Down and replaced it with OnTheSpot Ground Trick which is functionally identical and fixes an overlap which fails to reset the Trick sequence properly.
- Removed all Summoned Sword firing restrictions during all variations of Trick [v1.02]
SUMMONED SWORDS
- Reduced the damage and style points earned from Blistering Swords
- Reduced the health of individual Spiral Swords and how much health is reduced per hit for each individual sword on the belt
- Fixed an issue where Vergil becomes stuck if he activates Blistering Swords during an Angel Boost. This change has not been applied to Storm Swords. [v1.02]
- Removed the KOReacting tag for Spiral Swords that forces the move to ignore enemies when being knocked back. [v1.03]
JUDGEMENT CUT
- Changed the DvDmgType of Judgement Cut from DVDmgType_YamatoSword to DVDmgType_SummonedSwords and will now hit a transparent Wisp with any level of charge. [v1.03]
- Fixed an issue that would prevent the unique sound effects of Judgement Cut from playing when it hits an enemy. [v1.03]
