About this mod

This mod adds 4 new miniboss-style enemies, one per act, as well as a small group of enemies on the Nameless Isle. The 4 miniboss foes drop unique loot that is made to stay relevant throughout the campaign. Each enemy combines vanilla skills with those of the "Viator", the "Custos, and the "Dux", while also introducing their own, unique abilities.

Four Paradigms of Chaos have arrived.

Strange powers from an even stranger realm strive to become part of Rivellon.
The powers brought by the Viātōrēs, the "travelers", are available to the Godwoken.
Yet there are those who dared to peer deeper and further than safety allows.
Spread across Rivellon and steeped in the power of all that strives to be, they are growing stronger.
Will you seek them out and slay these new foes, or will they triumph over you?

Mechanical Overview:

Nine new enemies have been added to the game's campaign.
There is one miniboss-style enemy in each act, as well as a group of foes in the Nameless Isle.

The four enemies display core traits of some of the classes added by the mod Viator - Bos - Dux - Modded Classes by Galgamos.
Each vanquished foe drops new, unique loot that is designed to remain useful throughout the entire campaign.

The group of foes is its own, separate encounter, and introduces the concept of a new background character into the world of Rivellon.
The loot they drop is unique and interesting, and designed to aid you with your transition into act 4.

The enemies added by this mod pose a combat challenge. There are no new quests for them, and the minimal storytelling this mod adds is done through other means, such as item and status descriptions, as well as environmental storytelling.

Installation:

Simply extract the mod from the .rar and put its .pak file into your "Mods" folder.
On Windows 10, this would be: C:\Users\<YourUsernameHere>\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods
Then launch your game, select "Mods" in the main menu, and activate the file.
Make sure to put it below and load it after the mod Viator - Custos - Dux - Modded Classes by Galgamos, as this encounter mod requires those files to function.
It is important to note that you have to move the file into the folders of the "Definitive Edition". This mod will not work for the "Classic Edition" of the game.

Where the Four Paradigms are:

Only read the following section if you wish to find these new foes more easily.

The first Paradigm can be found near the decrepit castle in the Hollow Marshes, not far from the slain mother bear. Can you break the tides it brings, or will you be swept away?

The second Paradigm can be found near the shambling abomination near the Cloisterwoods. Can you crack its defenses, or will this immovable object remain standing?

The third Paradigm waits near a beach, amidst the fallen. Can you stop its growing bloodlust, or will it devour you?

The group of foes awaits challengers near the hidden entrance to the academy. Can you hear the Call of the Deep Mine? Will you divide and conquer, or join and succumb?

The fourth and last Paradigm overlooks devastation and is fully capable of wielding similar power. Are you able to withstand the chaos until it unravels?

Compatibility:

This mod should be compatible with other mods, unless those place something in the exact same spots in the world this one edits.
