Harpies excel in controlling the battlefield from a mid-range, protecting and buffing allies whilst destroying the opposition. The Harpy is able to control Intelligence-based winds to suffocate opponents, making quick work of their Magic Armour - they are a mages best friend.

With a complimentary blend of enchantment and controlling effects, the Harpy is best suited as either the support or damage mage in a team composition. For skill points, Harpies should aim to max Aerotheurge as soon as possible. For Talents, I would highly recommend Far Out Man as this helps you control the battlefield from far away. I would also recommend Savage Sortillege, giving your magic-damage spells (of which there are plenty in this class) the chance to critically strike.


Starter Tier (Level 1):

• Harpy Form: Toggle to spread/sheath your wings. Whilst active, you gain a 10% bonus Air and Earth Resistance at the cost of 5% Physical Resistance. and also granting the Glide skill. Ground surfaces cannot reach you.
• Defiant Gust: Blast a triumphant gust of air, dealing Air damage. Enemies hit by this spell are blown-over and cannot move.
• Zephyr: Conjure a focused-blast of wind, dealing Air damage to enemies. Has a chance to cause Suffocating. Extinguishes fire and condense all cloud surfaces in the area.
• Ravage: Leap to and Cripple an enemy, slashing them with your talons to deal Piercing damage.
• Prey: Mark your prey, reducing Wits, and Air , Physical and Piercing Resistance.
  

Novice Tier (Level 4 onwards):

• Feather Shot: Slash target with a razor-sharp feather, dealing Air damage. Disarms the target and causes them to bleed.
• Wicked Touch: Devastate your opponent by destroying a portion of Magic Armour. Set Madness and Weak on target.
• Stormbreath: Breathe Electrified Water in a cone in front of you, dealing Air Damage and applying Shocked.
• Summon Pet Dragon: Call upon Ember the Dragon to assist in combat using devastating Pyro and Aero attacks.
• Feather Shield: Ascend and then swoop down to an ally, shielding them and yourself, granting Physical and Magic Armour.
  

Adept Tier (Level 9 onwards):

• Throat Slash: Claw at the target's throat, dealing Air Damage. Sets Suffocating for 2 turns. If the target is already Suffocating, they are Silenced for 2 turns instead.
• Winds of Change: Increase Movement and Air Resistance. Enemies caught by the wind start Suffocating.
• Eye of the Storm: Conjure an uncontrollable tornado which deals Air damage to characters in its path. Creates a trail of Electrified Water in its wake. This surface damages non-floating characters.
• Wind Sheath: At the cost of Constitution, gain massive Air resistance and Intelligence. Decreases Fire and Water resistances.
• Feather Fan: Throw magic-coated feathers, each dealing Air damage. Each has a chance to Suffocate.
• Overwhelming Shriek (1 Source Point): Deals air damage to nearby enemies, setting Deaf, reducing Wits, Accuracy, and Dodging, as well as applying Silence, removing the ability to cast spells.
  

Master Tier (Level 13 onwards):

• Cloud Cover: Cast a focused and mystical Blessed Smoke Cloud, stealthing all and removing Silence from all who enter.
• Fatal Attraction: Your beauty is your weapon. Dominate your opponent by destroying Magic Armour and attempt to Charm them. Marks the target as Prey, reducing their Wits, and Air, Physical, and Piercing Resistance.
• Mirror Coat: Coat the target in a mystical veil, causing all Projectiles to be deflected. Also grants Physical and Magical Armour for the duration.
• Mass Feather Shield (2 Source Points): Swoop down to up to 3 allies, shielding them and yourself, granting Physical and Magical Armour. Also applies Mirror Coat, reflecting projectiles back at their caster.
  

Divine Tier (Level 16 onwards):

• Fury of the Skies: Command mystical feathers to strike all enemies near you, each dealing Air damage. Each feather has a chance to cause Bleeding and Suffocating.
• Bravebird: Dash forward at mach speed, dealing Air damage to enemies and cause them to Suffocate.
• Hunting Grounds (3 Source Points): Screech at target area, dealing Air damage to enemies. All enemies in the area are marked as Prey, reducing their Wits, and Air, Physical, and Piercing Resistance.
  

Mai Valen is a feisty Harpy who can sell the party skillbooks. She can be found throughout the game in various locations:

• Fort Joy:
  
  • Opposite the Hydrosophist vendor, Rezik, to the West outside of Griff's camp.
  • On a platform opposite Exter inside Amadia's Sanctuary.
    
• Reaper's Coast:
  
  • Aboard the Lady Vengeance. She is in the Crow's Nest on the deck, toward the stern.
  • Near the Eastern entrance to Driftwood, she is on a wooden platform, looking out toward the sea.
    
• Nameless Isle: Aboard the Vengeance in the same place as Reaper's Coast.
• Arx: In the city square, on a wooden platform near the waypoint.
  

There is also a nest on Fort Joy beach next to a tree, containing all the skillbooks should you wish to try-before-you-buy. Furthermore, all of the skills are usable in Game Master mode for you to have a go with.
