Wait a second, why is this 93MB? shouldn't this be a simple case of changing the skill effect entry to a blank input? did you accidentaly ship a map you made for testing into the mod?
That would be because I can't overwrite a single effect in the effects.pak file- so this is a complete copy of the effects.pak but without the glow effect.
It might be possible to do this more efficiently, but I only made this mod because no one else (more skilled) bothered to.
As far as I know nothing else uses this effect. But if anything does, all that would happen is that the green glow wouldn't show up when they transformed into something else. So nothing game breaking.
Oh i see what you did ok. If you want I just made another version of this as a plugin mod. Instead of changing the whole effect file I edited the specific status applied by the shapeshift mask so that it no longer glows. doing it this way means that you simply install it into the larian folder in docs rather than replacing the data folder entry so it's much, much smaller (only around 2.4KB) and should play nicer with other mods or updates that alter anything else in the effects file. Send me a message or something and I'll send it to you and you can do what you want with it and/or upload it if it still works how you wanted.
Long shot, but any chance of a definitive edition version? I didn't test the effects.pak version as I'm sure definitive edition has some different graphical effects that that would mess with, but I know the tickable mod version would be disabled since it wasn't made for definitive edition.
I have just tested both versions in definitive edition and they won't work. Thus, don't know if it's due to the mod, but after installing and uninstalling it, my save gone corrupted and had to delete it, since the game started to crash when loading that savegame :(.
I would like a definitive edition version of the mod, since the green glow bothers me a bit, but now I'm afraid that my files may be damaged because of this.
If you cast two time the shapeshift form, it will remove the glow even without this mod But your mod make it a lot easier, so thanks for this!
Another tip, if you use mask made with face ripper, you can transform then remove the mask and you will still be transformed, while using fane mask, you cannot remove the mask.
Oh, my god, someone's done it ! Thanks o plenty, stranger, for finally allowing me to use that damn mask I wouldn't touch with a 10 feet pole before that. You are sir, a genius.
