About this mod

This mod allows you to possess a character in your party. Which allows AI to take control during combat. They make mistakes, they CC alot... and they can be dumb and steal your Source... but gosh darn it, they are loveable.

Permissions and credits
**************************************
This mod gives you a series of spells to enable and disable AI control of combat over targeted party members.

I would recommend just using the Auto one to "Mark Character for AI Control" and the one to take that away. That is the cleanest way to use the mod... though in some encounters you may want to override that mid combat, which is where the single target "Restore Control" spell comes into effect.
***************************************

This mod now contains 6 spells, (3 books)
  1. AOE - Let AI Take Control
  2. AOE - Restore Control
  3. Single Target - Let AI Take Control
  4. Single Target - Restore Control
  5. Single Target - Mark Character for AI Control
  6. Single Target - Remove Mark from Character

Book Locations:
  • Fort Joy - Square Way - Next to the waypoint.
  • Lady Vengeance - Deck 2 - Next to the Respec Mirror.

The books are non-consumable, and the skill can be cast on yourself.

**WARNING** Casting the spell on all characters in your party will result in FULL LOSS OF CONTROL and you WILL need to RELOAD YOUR GAME.

FAQ
***********************************
1) Does this work in GM mode?
I have added GM mode spells for this, but I am not sure how well they function. I unfortunately don't use the GM mode of Divinity so I am unfamiliar with their effectiveness.

2) Why are there so many spells?
Compatibility mostly. This mod started with just the basic ones, and from feed back and time tinkering I have improved it. I would recommend just using the Auto one to "Mark Character for AI Control" and the one to take that away. That is the cleanest way to use the mod... though in some encounters you may want to override that mid combat, which is where the single target "Restore Control" spell comes into effect.

3) The AI is Dumb / Smart / Doesn't Use / Does use... etc.
This is not something I have modified in any way. The AI control in this is letting the game engine handle it with defaults, if they don't use some custom spell, its because that flag is missing or wrong in the custom spell.

4) This mod is exactly like a different mod that used to be on here / is on Nexus.
At one point this was accurate, I created this mod initially because the mod I was using, the author got banned. I did not just copy his mod though, i created my version of it. At that point, they were almost identical. Since then i put in the Auto Control spells which the original / the version on Nexus didn't have.

5) This mod should also do _____
I made this mod just to use with my friends and I. If it doesn't work for you I apologize, if you have some request feel free to leave it. I am not sure if I can / will do the request because I am still learning the engine. I have thus far made improvements based on feedback, I will likely do so again if I like the idea.
