I have a feeling I'm going to like this game. Maybe it's the old school turn-based gameplay, or the slick graphics and art style. Or maybe it's because WGD likes it, so it has to be good, eh?

Lol thanks :-) It is a very fun game. Just be prepared for turn based combat. Combat aside there is a lot of other fun things in the game and I enjoyed the story and corny companions :)

I know next to nothing about this game but I have been eyeing it since release. Companions and romances?! That sold me.

Aye they are fun. It isn't like Bioware/EA romances or companions though. This is an old style turn based game (isometric) although the graphics are very good for this style and its modern in its overall look. The companions have some nice depth to them I am discovering which makes up for the turn based combat which is a bit slow at times. Totally hooked on the game myself though mileage may vary for others.

Yeah I usually shy away from the old style games but this looks interesting enough that I might be able to get over the fact that it's not a Skyrim or Fallout. LoL Is there any character customization at all?

Oh tons of character customization if you mean skills, abilities, background, attributes, and that stuff. If you mean appearence - just the basics. Different faces, hair styles, adornments, colors, etc. The game has a lot more depth in general than FO4 or Skyrim (two of my favorite games). But best thing is to watch/read some reviews and get a feel for what it is about.

I kinda figured there was romance during early access. You are much further than I am in the game though I haven't played in few days been playing Skyrim mostly now.

Not too far I think. Once I got off the boat, after escaping Fort Joy, I went right to Driftwood the main town to get supplies. Futzing around here now.
