The mod doesn't work. I did everything according to the instructions, including those in the comments. The game informed me that it had loaded the module that I had previously selected. After reading the skill book, the book disappears

1- I've copy the data file.
2 - I've pasted the date file inside divinity OS folder.
3 - it had create a mod file, with meta.lsx inside.
4 - It had create a new file on public, named infinite skills books ba04... Inside this file I've two other files, contet which is empty and rootemplates with infinite skillbook.lsb
5 - I've launch the game and actived the mod.
    6 - Doesn't work.

What the heck I'm doing wrong?

Try to change load order at mod menu. Perhaps this mod should be put the top.

I can't find the locations to put the files.

There is no Data folder in my larian Studios/Dvinity Original Sins folder, so I put the Mods item into the Mods folder. This had worked for the 4Characters mod.

There is no Public folder anywhere that I can see, so I can't put the other file in. I tried it in the Mods folder with no effect.

Infinite Skillbooks still does not come up as a selectable mod. Help! :-)

I wonder if you can make a version with the Tenebrium skillbook? I refused to do Brandon's quest without knowing the consequence, now I don't know what to do

    Thanks for the great mod!

Oh, and the "Magical Poison Arrow" is also still finite.

    Thanks!

Great mod! FYI: The 'Destroy Summoned' Witchcraft skill seems to have been missed.

Sorry if I come across as dumb but I'm a little confused about how to install, do you put this in the Data directory or the mod directory one or both?

The Data folder in the ZIP is merged with the Data folder in your Divinity Original Sin install directory. This will add the appropriate folders to the Data/Public/ and Data/Mods/ folder. Then once ingame you can check the mod in the Mods list.

have to ask since its not mentioned. I'm guessing this only affects new games not saved games? thought would make sure i had mods working and loaded and older game that i knew i had books on but none of them survived.

As it is right now saves are stuck with the mods they start out with. If you enable a mod and then try to load a previously unmodded save, the game loads it with no mods enabled.

There is a way around this, but that involves swapping meta.lsx files from the game save folders around.

      If I remember correctly...

      1) Create a new game with 1 mod enabled. Save it as a new save file when you exit Character Creation.
      2) Go to Documents/Larian Studios/Divinity Original Sin/Player Profiles/(Profile Name)/Savegames/(New Save name)/ and copy the meta.lsb there
      3) Go to your old unmodded savegame folder and paste the meta.lsb you just copied, replacing it
      4) Start up the game again and load your previously unmodded save. It should now have the mod effects.

Make sure you backup your old save before doing stuff with the files, just in case.
