About this mod

This mod lets you use the metal detector to find buried treasure as normal, but when you do find it, you will automatically have the results pop onto the ground instead of having to actually dig. Optionally, you can have the mod require a shovel, damage it, and consume stamina.

Permissions and credits
With this mod, you can use the metal detector like normal to find buried treasure, but when the detector passes over a place with buried treasure, instead of having to actually dig it up and possibly break a container if one pops up, the loot just appears on top of the ground. It pulls from the same loot tables as normal, and if you have a mod that changes the loot tables, it will work with those altered loot tables just fine.

You still get milestone and daily task credit for acquiring the treasure, but you don't get credit for digging with a shovel since you didn't actually dig.

Note: This only works with actual "buried treasure" generated by the game. It won't dig up items that players have manually buried.

There is an option in the config file (off by default, so if you want it you need to turn it on) that makes the mod also require a shovel, as well as damaging that shovel and consuming stamina. Because of the convenience of this mod, the durability/stamina cost is slightly higher than it would be normally if you dug it up yourself. (If you have this option turned on, you just need your shovel(s) anywhere in your hotbar and the mod will find them.)

On the other hand, there is another config option to extend the range of the automatic search-and-"dig" by a square radius (so a setting of 3 would do a 7x7 area centered on the spot you have selected). This option has no effect if the previous option (to use stamina and shovel durability) is enabled. The default of 0 makes it work as normal, only "digging" the spot that is selected.

This is a standard BepInEx 6 mod, so follow the standard Dinkum modding instructions and put the DLL file in your plugins folder. To create the config file, open Dinkum and immediately close it again. This mod is safe to remove at any time because it does not affect your save file in any way.
